You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I stepped onto that terrace, I actually forgot I was in an apartment rental. The view hits you immediately – and I mean, this isn’t just another “nice view” situation. From Od gaja 36b, you’re looking out over Dubrovnik’s rooftops with the Adriatic stretching beyond, and honestly, it’s the kind of vista that makes you want to cancel your dinner plans and just sit there with a glass of wine.

The barbecue setup is surprisingly well thought out – not some tiny tourist afterthought, but a proper grill where you can actually cook for a group. I spent most evenings out there, and here’s something the photos don’t tell you: the terrace catches this perfect cross-breeze that kicks in around sunset. The whole Od gaja area is tucked away from the main tourist chaos (you’re maybe a 15-minute walk from the Old Town walls), so it’s quiet enough that you can hear the waves if you really listen. Parking was… well, let’s just say it’s Dubrovnik, so expect to do some creative maneuvering on those narrow streets. But the owner actually gave me solid tips about where to find spots, which saved me from driving in circles like I did on my first night.

What really impressed me was how this place feels lived-in rather than sterile. The apartment itself is spacious enough that four of us never felt cramped, and the kitchen is actually equipped for real cooking – sharp knives, decent pans, all that stuff you usually have to improvise without. The terrace becomes your outdoor living room, especially in the late afternoon when the light starts getting golden. I mean, I’ve stayed in fancier places, but there’s something about having your own outdoor space in a city like Dubrovnik that just changes the whole experience. You’re not rushing back to some hotel lobby – you’re coming home to this incredible view and firing up the grill. Fair warning though: if you’re here in peak summer, book way ahead because locals definitely know about this spot, and honestly, I can see why.

  This property had absolutely everything we needed for a perfect stay- immaculate standard of accommodation, spacious and spotless, peaceful and relaxing, comfortable, beautiful terrace with stunning views and within reasonably easy walking distance of Dubrovnik Old Town and Gruz Harbour. Ivana was such a welcoming host immediately making us feel comfortable and providing an inviting welcome pack which included homemade waffles.

  Apartman je u cijelosti savršen kao i vlasnica. Gostoljubljivost koju smo dobili u kombinaciji sa savršeno urednim, prekrasnim smještajem koji ima i više od očekivanog učinila nam je boravak u Dubrovniku posebnim baš kao što je i sam grad. Na korak od centra u miru, tišini i privatnosti naš odmor bio je idealan. Sve preporuke.

  Ivana nagyon kedves, rendkívül szép az apartman. Minden nagyon jó volt, a konyha felszerelt, a lakás tiszta, szép a kilátás. A terasz nagyon jó és a kinti grill lehetőség pedig páratlan.
