It was such a pleasure staying in this apartment, and I can’t recommend it enough. The location is amazing, set on such a pretty street with everything you need just a short walk away. The apartment itself is incredibly comfortable, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The steps up to the apartment helped us work off all the wonderful food and drink we took advantage of during our stay.
The owner was fantastic, so friendly and accommodating. Bozena’s communication both before and during the stay made everything so easy. Bozena provided a really helpful video with directions to the apartment from Buza Gate as well as some great recommendations. Thank you, we can’t wait to come back!

Old Town Olive Studio Apartment
You know what struck me first about this place?
You know what struck me first about this place? The address – Nalješkovićeva ulica – sounds intimidating when you’re booking online, but honestly, once you’re wandering these narrow limestone streets, it feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s well-kept secret. The Old Town Olive Studio is tucked away just enough that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at 7 AM, but you’re still a proper two-minute walk from Stradun (that’s the main drag, by the way). I mean, you can actually hear the morning coffee rituals from the local café down the street instead of tour guides with their little flags – which, trust me, makes all the difference.
The studio itself is… well, it’s exactly what you’d hope for in a place that’s managed to score a 9.6 rating. The stone walls aren’t just for show – they actually keep the space cool during those brutal July afternoons when the rest of Dubrovnik feels like an oven. There’s this lovely olive theme throughout (hence the name, obviously), but it’s done tastefully, not like someone went crazy at a Mediterranean home goods store. The kitchenette is actually functional – I was able to make proper coffee and even tackle some of the gorgeous produce from the morning market near the cathedral. The bed’s comfortable enough that you might sleep through the church bells if you’re properly exhausted from climbing the city walls, though honestly, those bells become part of the charm after a day or two.
What really gets me about this spot is how it nails that sweet spot between authentic and comfortable. The building itself feels ancient – because it probably is – but you’ve got reliable WiFi and a shower with decent water pressure. The owner clearly knows the neighborhood; they left these handwritten notes about which bakery opens earliest (crucial information) and warned about the Saturday morning market noise, which I actually found delightful. Parking’s going to be your biggest headache, but that’s true anywhere in the Old Town – just bite the bullet and use the Zagrebačka lot, then walk. The narrow streets here weren’t exactly designed with rental cars in mind. During the shoulder seasons, you’ll have the limestone alleys mostly to yourself in the evenings, and there’s something magical about stepping out your door into what feels like a movie set, except the restaurants are serving actual locals, not just tourists, and the prices reflect that too.

What Our Guests Say
Loved it
Warm welcome and responsive host.
Modern, well appointed room - clean and comfortable. Beautifully designed room.
Great location and close to restaurants. Very close to the Buza Gate making it easy to access.
Very comfortable mattress.
What could be improved: No
Beautifully finished property, very comfortable with all you need.
Friendly and helpful hosts- take the offer of the airport shuttle!
What could be improved: The steps to the property were tough but worth it for the location.
Loved the style of the apartment, the bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette was really well equipped with everything you need. There was plenty of storage and hangers for clothes and complementary toiletries were lovely. The host was also very welcoming and helpful 🙂
What could be improved: How the shower made the bathroom steamy and damp as though the extractor fan couldn't cope, I wouldn't say that's a deal breaker though as the shower was actually really very good and the bathroom was very clean.
Also bare in mind that the apartment is at the very top of the hill near the buza gate and there are a lot of steps down to the main square.
Perfect location without having to walk a lot of steps! Exceptionally clean! Easy check in and out!
Very well designed studio apartment. Great location. Friendly host!
What could be improved: No laundry facilities
Great location - it’s at the top of steps from Dubrovnik centre but take it slow and you’ll be fine! Beautifully decorated and very helpful host who messaged prior to getting there and was communicative throughout our stay. We kept our luggage there for the morning after we checked out so we could explore the city a little more before going to the airport.
What could be improved: Nothing of note specific to the apartment. If you have a car, we dropped our rental back at the airport, you will struggle to park it anywhere near the apartment due to its central location.
Beautifully renovated and well thought out. Clean and comfortable
What could be improved: Our room smelt a little damp, however Dubrovnik had a lot of rain prior to our arrival
Everything including the steps….plenty of them everywhere in Dubrovnik…you can’t escape them!! Not too many from the Gate though. Bozena was fabulous with communication especially after our luggage didn’t make our flight.
The apartment was comfy and clean. We took the sunset Tuk Tuk tour with Ante’s brother that was fabulous thank you.
What could be improved: Nothing to not like.
