The apartment is very nice, big and tastefully furnished. Everything you need in a house you can find there. Private parking available and bus stop for Dubrovnik old town is just 50 meters away. Market in front of the bus stop as well. Fantastic holidays!

First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Apartment Vapor in Komolac, I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a quiet residential area. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are tucked away where you least expect them. This four-star property sits about 15 minutes from Dubrovnik’s Old Town, and that distance actually works in your favor. The building itself has this clean, modern look that immediately tells you someone cares about the details.
Location & Getting Around
Komolac might not ring any bells if you’re new to the area, but locals know it’s one of those sweet spots where you get peace and quiet without being completely cut off. The apartment is positioned perfectly — close enough that you can easily reach Dubrovnik’s main attractions, but far enough that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight. I mean, after a long day exploring those ancient city walls, coming back to this tranquil neighborhood feels like a genuine retreat. Plus, there’s parking right on site, which honestly is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to navigate Croatian coastal towns with a rental car.
The Space Itself
The room — well, it’s actually more of a proper apartment setup — impressed me right away with how thoughtfully everything was arranged. You’ve got real space to spread out, not just a cramped hotel box where you’re tripping over your suitcase. The kitchen area is genuinely functional too, which I appreciated since eating out every meal gets expensive fast in Dubrovnik. The whole place feels fresh and well-maintained, with that kind of attention to cleanliness that makes you want to walk around barefoot. What really caught my attention was how quiet it stays, even with the windows open — something about the way the building sits just seems to buffer any street noise.
Why Couples Choose This Place
I can totally see why this spot gets such high marks from couples — there’s something inherently romantic about having your own private space in such a beautiful part of Croatia. The setup gives you that cozy, intimate vibe where you can actually relax together without feeling like you’re on display in a hotel lobby. You can grab some local wine and cheese from the nearby shops, cook a simple dinner together, and just enjoy each other’s company. The whole experience feels more authentic than staying in some massive resort where everything’s been designed for mass tourism.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.6 rating doesn’t come from nowhere — this place delivers on the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re traveling. You get reliable comfort, genuine value for money, and hosts who clearly understand what makes a stay memorable. The combination of modern amenities with that peaceful residential setting creates exactly the kind of base camp you want for exploring this stunning region. Whether you’re planning day trips along the coast or spending hours wandering through Dubrovnik’s limestone streets, you’ll appreciate having this calm, well-equipped retreat to return to each evening.

What Our Guests Say
Really lovely , clean and well equipped property. Lovely outdoor patio area. Quiet location and everything you could need. Host really helpful and quick to respond. She also helped us to find a good bike rental company which was great and cheaper than those in the centre of Dubrovnik. Location a bit of a way out of Dubrovnik but we chose it as we needed parking and it would have been really expensive to park in Dubrovnik itself. Easy to get a taxi/uber in
Awesome clean and family friendly apartment. Irena was very welcoming and extremely responsive. Easy access to old town and other places. Highly recommend.
What could be improved: Mil
Apartment was fabulous. Host was 110% on communication. Apartment was modern, fresh, spotless, and about 10 mins from Dubrovnik Port and 18 min from Old City. Regular bus service 2 min walk from Apartment. Felt very comfortable and relaxed here. Quiet area. Beds very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
What could be improved: Nothing.
The stay in the Vapor apartment was wonderful. Irena (the owner) was very hospitable and preferred us to go by bus to the old town of Dubrovnik, to avoid the crowds in the city.
Otherwise, I would have preferred staying in this apartment to everyone who wants peace, comfort and comfort.
What could be improved: quietness, cleanliness and comfort were at the highest level.
Facilities 5*; attentive host; bus stop and supermarkets minutes from apartment.
What could be improved: Lack of restaurants in area.
Nice modern flat, spacious and clean. In a quiet area. Equipped with everything necessary for your stay. Bus stop 2 minutes’ walk away so commute to city centre is straightforward. Easy self checkin.
All was excellent. Apartment is what you see in photos.
Crowds in the old town are brutal. This apartment, just 20 min away by city bus, offers space, air conditioning, and respite from the crowds. A small supermarket at the end of the street, a restaurant just up the way, and a bus stop a minute from the front door make this apartment a real find. The bus ride (€2 each way) doesn’t feel long at all; it’s actually beautiful, running along a narrow bay before turning under the soaring highway bridge past the old port and depositing you at the city gates. The apartment is comfortable and well appointed, offering a gateway to the city and an escape from it. Although we never met the host, she was very hospitable and responsive by messaging. With a rental car, you can sneak up the back way to the top of Srd mountain, with stunning views, and out to Zaton for a much more low-key beach experience. Glad we found this option.
What could be improved: If you’re in town for the nightlife, you may want to stay closer, but for families and folks relief from the hordes during high season, this is an ideal choice.
The apartment was very clean, we got a complimentary water bottle and juice. Everything we needed was there. There were 4 of us and we were really comfortable. We loved it! 💗
