The Apartment with terrace and mini pool Green Gold sits on Vatroslava Lisinskog street – and honestly, if you’re not familiar with Dubrovnik’s layout, this might sound like you’re staying in the middle of nowhere, but it’s actually perfectly positioned. You’re close enough to walk to the Old Town (maybe 15-20 minutes if you don’t mind a bit of uphill), but far enough away that you won’t hear the cruise ship crowds echoing off ancient stone walls at 7 AM.

The terrace is where this place really shines, I mean, that mini pool isn’t just some Instagram prop – it’s actually deep enough to properly cool off after spending hours wandering around Dubrovnik’s sweltering summer streets. I spent most evenings out there with a bottle of local wine, watching the sunset paint the Adriatic different shades of gold. The whole setup feels surprisingly private too, which is rare for accommodations in this price range. Inside, everything’s been thoughtfully updated – the kitchen actually has proper appliances (not those tiny European refrigerators that can barely hold a bottle of wine), and the Wi-Fi works reliably, which honestly can’t be said for every place in Croatia. The bedroom stays cool even during those brutal July afternoons when the temperature hits 35°C and the whole city feels like it’s melting.

What really sold me on this spot was how it struck that perfect balance between being accessible and being peaceful. The street itself is residential, so you’ll hear normal neighborhood sounds – maybe someone’s grandmother hanging laundry or kids playing football – but nothing that’ll keep you awake. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Dubrovnik), but the host actually provided clear instructions about where to find spots, and there’s usually something available within a block or two. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. The shower has proper pressure, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and the terrace furniture is comfortable enough that you’ll actually want to use it. If you’re planning to spend your days exploring the city and your evenings relaxing somewhere that feels like a genuine retreat, this place delivers on both fronts without any of the pretentious nonsense you sometimes get with upscale vacation rentals.

  Although our flight was delayed, and we did not arrive until well after midnight, our hosts were still there to meet us. They made us very welcome, were informative and very affable. The apartment was exceptionally clean and catered for all our needs. The addition of the hot tub was an added bonus. The location was superb for both the beaches and restaurants and we could be in the old town of Dubovnik in 15 minutes courtesy of the outstanding and reliable public transport system. We would happily return to the same apartment and the Babin Kuk region in general. Thank you Ivana and family for a magnificent stay.

  The outside area was extremely relaxing, the host was INCREDIBLY accommodating, even going so far as to replace a coffee machine immediately after finding it wasn't working, and was very responsive! There was some beer and wine in the fridge which was very welcome after the travel.

  Top appartement in Dubrovnik. Located on the peninsula where there is much to do: several really nice beaches, running, scuba diving. Supermarket at 1km. Beach boulevard at 1km, with many bars and restaurants.
  Visiting the old city easily doable by Uber taxi, for around 10 euro per trip.
  Appartement is really spacious, ground floor with a private garden. Very good airconditioning and top installed kicthen. Good beds.

  Everything. A very kind host who pre-cooled the house as it was a hot day when we arrived. She drove 30 mins to welcome and show us around the house. The house had everything one can expect in a holiday home. The outdoors even had a BBQ & a pizza oven, but we did not make use of it. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, plates, and cutlery. We could not have asked for better even though it was a bit far from the old town. We had our car, which helped get around.

  De tuin en jacuzzi. Goede geluidsisolatie in het appartement. De matrassen, dekens en kussens waren heerlijk. De gastheer had op eigen initiatief boodschappen voor ons gedaan ivm een feestdag waarop de winkels gesloten waren.

  Cucina molto grande , arredato benissimo con tutte le comodità ; frigo gigante con acqua fredda e produzione continua di ghiaccio , iacuzzi in giardino con ombrelloni e divanetti……tutto perfetto incluso il posto auto davanti casa in zona molto silenziosa e tranquilla.I proprietari gentilissimi e bendisposti a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta .
