Here’s what I love about staying in Lapad — you’re close enough to Old Town that you can easily get there, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight. The owners clearly know what travelers actually want versus what looks good in photos. Air conditioning worked perfectly too, which you’ll definitely appreciate if you’re visiting during summer months.

Getting Around

The location really shines when it comes to exploring. You can catch buses to Old Town easily — the connections are frequent and reliable. But what I discovered is that walking along the coastal path is actually pretty pleasant, especially in the early morning or evening when it’s cooler. Takes about 20-25 minutes on foot, and you get these glimpses of the Adriatic that make the walk worthwhile. Having that free parking meant I could also drive to some of the smaller beaches and villages nearby without worrying about where to leave the car.

Look, this isn’t a five-star resort with a spa and fancy restaurant, but that’s exactly why it works so well.
