It’s tucked away on Frana Supila street in Ploče, which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to walk into Old Town Dubrovnik (maybe 15 minutes on foot) but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at all hours.
The thing about this place is that it feels like staying at someone’s well-kept family apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. I mean, these are proper apartments with kitchens that actually work – not those sad little kitchenettes with a broken coffee maker and no real cookware. The owner clearly put thought into the details… you know what I noticed? Decent water pressure in the shower, which sounds boring but trust me, after a day of walking Dubrovnik’s stone streets in July heat, it matters. The air conditioning works well too, though the thick stone walls keep things naturally cool. What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night – Ploče isn’t exactly sleepy, but Frana Supila is residential enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open and just hear the occasional car, maybe some late-night conversations drifting up from the street.
The location thing is really what makes this work. You’re practically neighbors with the cable car station that goes up to Mount Srđ (seriously, it’s like a three-minute walk), and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually use – not tourist-priced, just good burek and coffee in the morning. Walking into the old city, you’ll pass through some lovely residential areas where you can see how people actually live in Dubrovnik, not just the polished museum version. Plus, honestly, coming back uphill after a long day exploring means you’ve earned that evening glass of wine on whatever terrace or balcony you’ll likely have. The apartments I saw had these great little outdoor spaces where you can sit and watch the city settle into evening – there’s something about the way the light hits the terracotta roofs that feels very… well, very Croatian coast. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but the owners seem to have sorted that out for guests. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel more like a temporary resident than a tourist passing through.

Comfortable stay! Very clean, comfortable accommodation with a fantastic sea view! Well stocked tiny kitchen area with all you would need.
What could be improved: It’s a bit of a walk to restaurants but there is a grocery close by which is walkable.

A perfect stay in Dubrovnik—beautiful views, ideal location, and the warmest hospitality from Zara. From the moment I arrived, Zara made the experience seamless and personal. Her communication was prompt, warm, and helpful—she went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth, from check-in to departure logistics.
What could be improved: The apartment itself is ideally located, just a short walk from the Old Town with panoramic views of Dubrovnik’s stunning coastline. Clean, well-kept, and comfortable, it provided a perfect base for exploring the city.
One standout was how accommodating Zara was—offering flexible luggage storage and clear instructions throughout. Her kind messages and thoughtful hospitality made me feel genuinely welcome.

Beautiful apartment, great location, and lovely host Zana and the apartment were an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed—it was truly like visiting a friend. I was even able to check in earlier than expected, which was a huge bonus. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and wonderfully spacious. Zana had thought of everything; the apartment was fully stocked with all the essentials and more, including extra toiletries, travel plugs, cleaning products, toilet paper, paper towels, extra blankets, and fresh towels. The kitchen was also fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals (though I did not cook).
And the view! It was absolutely breathtaking. Sipping coffee or wine while overlooking Lokrum Island was a highlight of my stay. The location couldn't be better, with Old Town just a convenient 10-15 minute walk away. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely apartment for anyone visiting the area!

Lovely apartment with a warm welcome in a great location. Zana was a wonderful host. We received a very warm welcome & our apartment was available earlier than expected, which was great. The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfortable & we had everything you could possibly want. Nice little touches... a small jar of sweets, toiletries, travel plugs etc... plenty of toilet rolls, extra pillow, fresh towels. The shower was very good too. We didn't do any cooking but everything looked clean & there appeared to be plenty of cutlery etc. The view is amazing & although the property overlooks a small road, it isn't very busy & when you close the shutters & doors to the balcony at night, the apartment is totally quiet. It was lovely to sit on the balcony & enjoy the view & watch the swallows swooping. The property is surrounded with pretty flowers & a lemon tree & looks across to the island of Lokrum. WiFi had a good strong connection & there was air conditioning, although we didn't need to use it. We had plenty of space to put our belongings too. Definitely recommend this lovely apartment. It's in a great location & very easy to walk into the town.
