You know what struck me first about Dalmatian House? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street – Koritska ulica – that most tourists never stumble across, which honestly makes it feel like you’ve discovered something locals might keep to themselves. The building itself has this gorgeous old stone facade that’s typical of Dubrovnik’s traditional architecture, but what really sold me were those terraces they mention in the name. I mean, when they say “spacious,” they’re not kidding around – these aren’t your cramped hotel balconies where you can barely fit a chair.

The stone terraces are the real star here, actually. Mine faced out toward the city (not directly toward the Old Town walls, but you get these nice glimpses between buildings), and there’s something pretty magical about having your morning coffee on centuries-old stone while listening to the church bells echo through the narrow streets below. The rooms themselves are… well, it’s a solid 3-star place, so don’t expect luxury finishes, but everything’s clean and functional. What I appreciated was how they’ve kept some of the original stone elements inside – gives it character that newer hotels just can’t replicate. The balcony off my room was perfect for that evening wine after walking the walls all day, though I’d recommend bringing a cushion if you’re planning to sit out there for hours.

Location-wise, you’re about a 10-minute walk to Pile Gate, which sounds far but honestly feels perfect after a few days of dealing with the Old Town crowds. You can actually hear the city life during the day, but it quiets down nicely at night – something you definitely can’t say about places right inside the walls. The 7.8 rating feels pretty spot-on to me; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Parking can be tricky (like everywhere in Dubrovnik), but the host gave me solid directions to a nearby lot that wasn’t too expensive by local standards. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re someone who values having actual outdoor space to decompress after those intense Old Town sightseeing days.

  What could be improved: Es muy difícil aparcar y llegar al alojamiento, es muy probable que para llegar a él tengas que caminar por una carretera con tráfico, ya que el resto de posibles entradas son caminos privados de otros propietarios.
