Clean, spacious, great hosts, great location for exploring the old town. Outdoor patio was a plus. Would recommend letting the host arrange private transfer from the airport. Convenient buses to the rest of Dubrovnick just outside the Pile gate, about 5 min walk away.

Dolce Vita Apartment
You know what hit me first about Dolce Vita Apartment?
You know what hit me first about Dolce Vita Apartment? The stone steps leading up to the entrance – they’re worn smooth from centuries of foot traffic, and honestly, that’s when it really sinks in that you’re staying inside Dubrovnik’s actual Old Town walls. I mean, this place sits on Ulica od Domina, which is one of those narrow medieval streets that somehow manages to stay relatively quiet despite being right in the heart of everything.
The apartment itself has this wonderful mix of old-world charm and modern comfort that actually works (unlike some places that try too hard). The exposed stone walls are the real deal – thick limestone that keeps things cool even during those scorching July afternoons when the Stradun is packed with cruise ship crowds. What I really appreciated was the attention to detail… there’s decent water pressure in the shower, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in these historic buildings, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train. The windows open onto that typical Old Town view – you’re looking across red-tiled rooftops toward the cathedral, and if you crane your neck just right, you can catch glimpses of the Adriatic sparkling beyond the city walls.
Location-wise, you’re about a three-minute walk from the main drag, but tucked away enough that you won’t hear every late-night reveler stumbling back from the bars on Prijeko Street. I’d say it’s perfectly positioned – close enough to duck back for an afternoon nap (trust me, you’ll want one after climbing those city walls), but you’re not dealing with the chaos right outside your door. The morning light filtering through those ancient streets creates this almost golden glow that makes you feel like you’re living in some romantic movie, at least until you remember you need to grab coffee before the good café spots fill up with tourists. One thing to note – like most places in the Old Town, there’s no parking right at the door, so you’ll be using the Pile Gate parking area if you’ve got a car. But honestly, once you’re settled in here, you won’t want to leave anyway. The whole experience feels authentically Dubrovnik without sacrificing comfort, and that’s harder to find than you’d think.

What Our Guests Say
Very warm welcome by the host. The apartment is centrally located in the Old Town, is spacious and fully equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
What could be improved: All the nearby bars and restaurants are expensive but a short bus ride away into the New Town opens up endless possibilities of eating and drinking at more reasonable prices.
Location was right in the middle of old town which made it easiest to see everything we needed to and didn’t have to take the bus (However there is a flight of stairs to reach the property- for those who are unable to walk up each time beware).
The property was large! A duplex. And one of the rooms that has two single bed is really cute and has a beautiful view that I could just sit and stare at for days.
Dube was nice, came to pick us up and took us to the property and also came during our check out. She also arranged a cab from the ferry point and also cab to airport. Both cabs were big and drivers were good!
What could be improved: The furnishings (mainly the air conditioners) are quite old- even though they work well enough, it’s a little difficult to use and quite slow to start. It gets frustrating on hot days
Very clean, comfortable beds, good air con throughout, good hot showers, great location, everything you need in kitchen, handy outside terrace. Excellent hosts who went above and beyond with help on trips, transfers, buses etc and highly recommended
What could be improved: Slight lack of space in bedroom 2 with 2 single beds but spare room has wardrobe and storage along with ironing board etc
The apartment is beautiful & in a perfect location. Close enough to everything but nice & quiet for nighttime rest. The hosts have set the apartment up perfectly for holiday living with everything required for a lovely holiday. Air conditioning was great in the heat of summer.
Very spacious (on two floors), clean, owners left many recommendations on what do do with a map of the city, two bathrooms, fast wifi. I would recommend staying there
What could be improved: If we have one negative to say is that we had some issues with the air conditioning in one of the room on the last night and it was very close to one side of the bed, which could be uncomfortable for some people.
Great communication, location, fully recommend
The hosts were the best hosts I have ever had. They arranged the pickup from the airport for us, met us at the taxi rank to walk us to the apartment. They allowed us to check in way earlier than the normal check in time and because they had a gap in their bookings they allowed us to stay at the apartment for the entire last day instead of checking out in the morning. This really made our trip as we were able to have a full last day at the beach and have somewhere to leave our luggage and come back to shower etc. The location was incredible, within the old city walls, close to restaurants and bars and amenities. The apartment had everything you could need, including iron and ironing board, hairdryer, washing machine, cooking facilities. There were 4 of us staying here and it was easily big enough. Had a lovely outdoor terrace too!
What could be improved: There was nothing I didn’t like about this property. You have to walk up a few steps with your suitcase but most of the city is like this.
Spacious and comfortable. Excellent location.
Dolce Vita is in a great location in the Old Town (not too many stairs for those with suitcases) and the little courtyard was perfect for a few drinks and nibbles in the afternoon (a cool change from the heat in the Old Town). Dube was ahhhhmazing; excellent communication and available when needed. Beautiful little place to call home when visiting Dubrovnik.
