I mean, you can literally watch the tour groups moving through Stradun from your morning coffee spot on the terrace – it’s like having a live ant farm, but with better architecture. The street itself is quiet, mostly residential, which means you’re not dealing with restaurant noise or those late-night bar crawlers that plague some of the more central spots. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that the locals actually use, not just tourists, and the woman there makes this fig pastry thing that I’m still thinking about months later.

What really sold me on this place was how the space actually feels lived-in rather than sterile. The terrace – which honestly deserves its own review – has enough room for proper lounging, not just those tiny juliet balconies you usually get. I spent entire afternoons out there with a book and some wine from the Konzum down the street, watching the light change on those red-tiled roofs. The apartment itself is spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re camping, and the kitchen actually has decent cookware if you want to grab ingredients from the morning market (though honestly, with all the good restaurants nearby, I barely used it). The WiFi was solid, which mattered since I was trying to work some mornings, and the AC actually worked properly – not always a given in these old buildings. Only minor thing was the shower pressure could be better, but that’s pretty standard for this part of the city, and the view from the bathroom window almost makes up for it.
