You know what struck me first about Apartments Banje Beach? The address says Ploče, but honestly, you’re right in the thick of Dubrovnik’s action without the Old Town madness. I mean, Buića street is this quiet residential stretch that most tourists walk right past, but it’s actually perfect – you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the city walls and even closer to Banje Beach (hence the name, obviously).
The apartments themselves are solid three-star territory, nothing fancy but genuinely comfortable. I stayed here during shoulder season in May, and the whole vibe was just… relaxed. The building’s got that Croatian coastal apartment feel – you know, white walls, decent-sized windows, and mercifully good air conditioning (trust me, you’ll want that come July). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re close to everything. The locals who run the place actually live nearby, so they’re pretty quick to sort out any issues, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no corporate hotel nonsense.
Here’s the thing about the location that makes it work so well: you’re positioned between the beach and the Old Town, but on this little side street that tour groups never find. Walk downhill toward the water and you hit Banje Beach in maybe three minutes – it’s the main city beach, sure, but early morning or late afternoon it’s actually lovely. The other direction takes you up toward the Pile Gate entrance to the Old Town, though honestly, I preferred using the Ploče Gate entrance which is closer and way less crowded. There’s a Konzum supermarket about two blocks away (essential for breakfast supplies), and this little bakery on the corner of Frana Supila that does incredible burek – locals line up there every morning around 8 AM. The apartments don’t include breakfast, but with that bakery so close, you’re actually better off anyway. One small thing – parking can be tricky during peak season, though there’s usually street parking available if you’re willing to walk a few minutes. The 8.9 rating honestly makes sense; it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.

Great property perfect for four people in a great location. The view was fantastic. Good communication from the owner.
What could be improved: A couple of points, there isn’t really a shower just a hand held on the bath and the outside light on the balcony wasn’t working.

The apartment is located right near Banje Beach and the main road that leads to the old town city walls. The view from the balcony is amazing and waking up the view of the sea can’t be beat. The bedrooms are a nice size, also a nice sized kitchen area.
What could be improved: Lotsss of steps to get to the apartment but the steps lead straight to the beach and main road so it was worth it, you’ll definitely be out of breath though.
The shower head didn’t reach the holder on the wall at the top so taking a shower one handed while holding the shower head in the other hand was annoying. The tub also seemed to leak from the bottom onto the floor. Also would‘be appreciated some more mirrors in the apartment as there was only one half body mirror in the hallway (in addition to the one in the bathroom).

great location as 10-15min walk into old town & theres 1 balcony that has nice view of old town & part of Banje Beach.
Banje beach & convenience/bakery store within walking distance.
Short walk from where car can drop off, theres short flight of steps that need to be walked down or up but not an issue if suitcase is not heavy.
Kitchen was fully equipped with oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker etc,
2 large rooms were clean & air con worked.
Overall apartment location & living space exceeded my expectations
What could be improved: Large bath tub but could do with shower curtain to prevent water splashing everywhere during showers.
Also could do with a extractor fan in bathroom

What could be improved: You need to make people aware of the flights of stairs you need to climb in order to get to the apartment.

The location is perfect and the view from the terrace is magnificent. Durdica is a really great host, she can help with various things - just ask :) the apartment is spacious, clean and in a calm location - nice rest is guaranteed. Banje beach is just several steps down the apartment and the old town is 10 min walk.
What could be improved: There is a bath instead of a shower cabin and if you are a tall person it might be a bit difficult to take a shower - it’s hard to fully stand up as the shower hose is short.
Excellent apartment..excellent location, just under 10 min walk to the center of old tt. The view from the balcony is stunning. The lady helping with our check in was so nice and helpful. Allowed us to store our bags the next day.
