Hotel Description
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to EuroAdria Residence on Ulica od Domina, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The street’s tucked away in Old Town, and you know how these historic areas can be… sometimes you get authentic charm, sometimes you get tourist traps with medieval themes. But this place? It actually gets the balance right.
The thing about staying right in Dubrovnik’s Old Town is that you’re literally living inside a UNESCO World Heritage site, which sounds amazing until you realize that means ancient stone streets, narrow alleys, and – let’s be real – crowds of cruise ship passengers wandering around with their phones out. But here’s what I love about EuroAdria’s location: Ulica od Domina is just off the main drag, so you’re close enough to stumble back after dinner at one of those cliffside restaurants, but far enough that you’re not hearing tour groups at 7 AM. I mean, you’ll still hear some city sounds – it’s not a resort bubble – but nothing that kept me up at night.
The residence itself feels more like staying in a restored townhouse than a typical hotel, if that makes sense. The building’s got that weathered stone exterior that blends perfectly with everything else in the Old Town, but inside they’ve done this nice job of keeping historical elements while actually making it comfortable. The rooms aren’t huge – honestly, in a place like this, you’re not spending much time inside anyway – but they’re well thought out. Good air conditioning (crucial in summer, trust me), decent WiFi, and windows that actually open so you can get that Mediterranean breeze in the cooler months. One small thing that surprised me: the shower pressure was actually solid, which… well, anyone who’s stayed in historic European buildings knows that’s not always a given.
What really sold me on this place was how the staff handled the whole Old Town logistics thing. See, you can’t just pull up and unload your bags like a normal hotel – cars aren’t allowed in most of the Old Town. But they’ve got this system worked out where they’ll meet you at the nearest access point and help with luggage, and they actually know the shortcuts through the maze of streets. Plus, they gave me this little local map with their favorite spots marked – not the obvious tourist places, but like, where to get the best coffee in the morning (there’s this tiny place on Prijeko that opens at 6:30) and which bakery has fresh pastries.
The 8.3 rating feels about right to me. It’s not luxury – you’re paying for location and character more than amenities – but it delivers on what it promises. During peak season (July-August), I’d definitely book well ahead since there aren’t that many places actually inside the walls. And if you’re someone who needs a pool or room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to wake up and be on the Stradun in two minutes, or head out to the city walls for sunrise without dealing with hotel shuttles? Yeah, this works really well.

Great location, lovely clean, modern room with good facilities, air-con fantastic, good communication with the owner/manager
What could be improved: The only thing I would say is there was only one extra pillow – could have done with two, and we could have done with some more towels or a change of towel midway through our stay. I’m sure if we’d asked we would have got some, but we managed ok, however ideally a change of towels would have been good.Trish from South Africa – 16 September 2024 (9/10)
Loved the location!!

The host was very responsive and allowed us to leave bags for a couple of hours beyond check out which was very kind of her. Thanks for a great stay!

It was centrally located and very clean, quiet at night and well equipped for a short stay.
What could be improved: There are lots of steep stairs to get to the property, approximately 90, which is tough with heavy luggage. But this is typical throughout the Old Town.Julie from United States – 5 May 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was as described and had everything required for a short stay. It was comfortable, modern and spotless. The location is good, not far from the main street and with restaurants close by. Yes, you do have 84 steps to contend with every time you go in and out but I didn’t mind as it was good cardio, and this would seem to be pretty typical when staying in Old Town.
What could be improved: Not a huge issue but the TV ‘appeared’ to have only 1 (Croatian) channel. I’m sure it was probably just me and would not be the case if you knew what you were doing with the remote’s but, despite my best efforts (as a non-tech savvy person), I could not find anything other than the 1 channel.Nastouli from Greece – 19 April 2024 (8/10)
The room was spacious, nice kitchen, with basic amenities, relatively big bathroom, close to everything in the city, seamless communication with the owner.
What could be improved: There was a humidity type of smell coming from the bathroom, that left after the first shower. Since it's in-between houses of the old town, it's a bit chilly, which would be great for summer though!Joann from United States – 20 September 2023 (9/10)
Very comfortable bed/pillow!
Location in the old city was great yet it was very quiet.
What could be improved: You have to climb 87 steep steps to get to the apartment!Amy from Ireland – 12 August 2023 (9/10)
The location was perfect. Right in the heart of the old town, it was worth the 90 steps up to the accommodation! It was a spacious room
What could be improved: The bathroom was a great size and furnished well however there seemed to be a smell coming from the either the drain or the toiletLily from United Kingdom – 3 August 2023 (8/10)
Spacious .
Modern .
Had appliances you may need.Lauren from Australia – 21 July 2023 (7/10)
Decent size apartment in a great spot within old town. Little kitchen was really convenient and A/C was a blessing
What could be improved: Every time we would have a shower it would flood the entire bathroom. It was so annoying. They definitely need to put a screen up to prevent that from happening
