The fact that it’s tucked away on Kardinala Stepinca street, which honestly most tourists probably can’t even pronounce – but that’s exactly why it works. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the Old Town (maybe 15 minutes if you’re taking your time), but you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds that basically take over the main drag every morning. The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on – it’s clearly modern and well-maintained, but not trying too hard to scream “luxury hotel,” if you know what I’m saying.

What really gets me about this place is the attention to detail that you only notice after you’ve been there a day or two. The staff actually remembers your name (and your coffee order, which is dangerous), and they’ll give you real recommendations – not just the obvious tourist spots. One of the front desk guys told me about this little konoba tucked away in Lapad that I never would have found otherwise. The rooms are spacious by European standards, and here’s something practical nobody tells you – the air conditioning actually works properly, which is clutch during those sweltering July afternoons when Dubrovnik feels like a stone oven. The bathrooms are genuinely nice too, with decent water pressure and those little touches that make you feel like someone thought about your comfort.

Honestly, the location is what seals the deal for me. You’re in this residential area where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of tour groups, but you can still grab a taxi to anywhere in the city within minutes. There’s a decent grocery store practically next door, and if you’re the type who likes to have morning coffee somewhere other than your hotel, there’s this local café about two blocks away where the espresso is better than what you’ll find near the tourist areas – and costs about half as much. The 9.1 rating makes sense because it’s one of those places that just works without any drama. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the housekeeping staff doesn’t barge in at 7 AM. Sometimes the simple stuff matters most, you know? Plus, if you’re planning to explore beyond Dubrovnik – maybe day trips to Korčula or Montenegro – having a comfortable base where you can actually relax makes all the difference.

  Fantastic location and view! The room is very clean and comfortable, although it is not very new. Located in a very nice area, walking 10 minutes to the bus stop which brings us to the old town. Highly recommend.

  Absolutely stunning hotel in a wonderful location.
  The views from our balcony were possibly the best in Dubrovnik.
  Staff and service were absolutely 5 star.
  I love a hotel breakfast, and this did not disappoint. Fresh juices, huge selection including made to order egg dishes and local cava ❤️
  We had dinner in Restaurant More as too tired to go further after hours of walking and wish we'd tried it earlier.
  Highly recommend.
  All in all a wonderful break and I'm going home pampered and relaxed.

  I laughed at previous reviews talking about how it could be tricky to navigate between the 2 buildings . After a few drinks that was actually true.

  The view from room 714, corner balcony with day bed and private jacuzzi, absolutely stunning. The service from all the hotel staff was exceptional. Super comfy beds, so quiet we had completely undisturbed sleep.for 3 nights, it was amazing. We will definitely be going back.
  
  What could be improved: When we were there The cave bar had a bit of a lairy vibe, large groups celebrating occasions, but there are plenty of other nice bars and restaurants in the area to cater for everyone's needs.

  Amazing setting on the water. Had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the views. Excellent facilities. Breakfast was very nice with a lot of options.
