You know what? Isaura Apartments caught me off guard in the best way possible. I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Ulica Lukše Beritića 6B, I was expecting another cookie-cutter place, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about this spot that grows on you. The building itself has that understated Croatian charm – not flashy, just solid and comfortable in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some tourist bubble.
The location is actually pretty clever if you think about it. Ploce isn’t where most visitors automatically gravitate (everyone’s obsessed with Old Town), but that’s exactly why it works. You’re close enough to walk to Dubrovnik’s main attractions – I mean, we’re talking maybe 15-20 minutes to the city walls – but far enough out that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at 6 AM. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, and there’s a decent little grocery store nearby that doesn’t charge tourist prices. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which honestly is half the battle in Dubrovnik.
What I really appreciated about Isaura was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth – no weird complications or hidden fees popping up. The apartments themselves are clean and functional, and while we’re talking 3-star territory here (so don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy), everything works the way it should. The 7.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s solid, reliable, and good value for what you get. The rooms are quiet enough that you can actually sleep, which is more than I can say for some of the places closer to the action. I particularly liked that the windows actually open properly – seems like a small thing, but you appreciate it when you want some fresh air without cranking the AC. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room, and you don’t mind being slightly outside the tourist epicenter, Isaura Apartments delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense.

Pleasant It was a clean property. It was not far from old town. There was a very lovely terrace which has Old town view & sea. Thanks to the owner.
What could be improved: We had to descend 350 steps to get to the old city from where we were staying, and climb 350 steps to return. So if it doesn’t sound you good, it would not be a good location for you.

Stunning view! The view is incredible! Sitting on the terrace is so special - worth all the 350 steps up from the old city. The host was super lovely - we arrived late and she waited up for us.
What could be improved: There were no quilts just blankets and a sheet so it was a bit cold in October.

What could be improved: Bit of a hike up the stairs from town but Dubrovnik mostly everywhere like this. Just get a cab.

Value for money! The location of the apartment is truly remarkable. From the terrace, one can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Old Town and the sea. (For your information, we stayed in the studio apartment located in the basement, which did not offer a direct view from the room. However, there was a shared terrace where guests could relish the magnificent scenery. To reach the Old Town, one needs to descend approximately 400 steps down the hill, which provides an opportunity for some good exercise during the trip. :)
The room itself was pleasant and equipped with basic amenities. The hosts were very polite and helpful. :)
What could be improved: Here are a few suggestions for improving the room:
- It would be helpful to have a hook in the bedroom and bathroom to hang clothes.
- Additionally, it would be great if you could provide body wash, as this is a common amenity provided by hosts in many countries.

Superb Everything is good, close to the old town and cable car station. The host is very helpful and fast responds.
What could be improved: There are too many steps, but there is nothing wrong with this place.

What could be improved: The room supposedly had a terrace with a view of the city, at least that was seen in the photos of the option we chose. But when we arrived the room had no terrace and no view of the city. The only terrace was on top of the building which was a common space. The wifi signal in the room did not reach well.
