You know what really got me about LADY L? The moment I walked into this sea view studio on Gorica Svetog Vlaha, I actually gasped at the view. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of places claiming “sea views” that turn out to be a sliver of blue between two buildings, but this – this is the real deal. The entire wall of windows frames the Adriatic like it’s a living painting, and honestly, I found myself just standing there with my coffee every morning watching the light change on the water.

The location in Lapad is sort of perfect if you ask me. You’re away from the cruise ship crowds that pack the Old Town (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in summer), but it’s still easy to get anywhere. There’s this lovely tree-lined promenade just a few minutes’ walk down the hill where locals actually go for their evening strolls – not just tourists taking selfies. The beach at Lapad Bay is right there too, which saved me from the rocky scramble you get at some of the more famous spots. I actually loved that I could walk to a proper grocery store and grab fresh bread and local cheese for breakfast on the terrace, rather than being stuck with overpriced hotel food.

What really impressed me was how thoughtfully set up the studio is. The kitchenette isn’t just for show – it’s actually functional with decent-sized pots and real wine glasses, not plastic cups. The bed faces those incredible windows, so you literally wake up to the sea (though invest in an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light). The owner clearly gets what travelers need – there’s proper WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, blackout curtains for when you want to sleep in, and the air conditioning actually works without sounding like a jet engine. Small thing, but the shower has proper water pressure, which isn’t always a given in older Croatian buildings.

The building itself has character without being run-down – you can tell it’s been recently renovated but they kept the original stone details. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area, I’ll be honest, but there’s street parking nearby and the owner gave me clear instructions on where to find spots. The walk up from the street isn’t too steep, though I was grateful I didn’t pack my entire closet. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no waiting around a lobby, just quick keys and helpful local tips about where to buy the best olive oil and which restaurants to avoid (spoiler: most of the ones right on Stradun).

What sealed it for me was sitting on that little balcony around sunset with a glass of local wine, watching the ferry boats glide across the bay while the Old Town walls glowed golden in the distance. It’s the kind of view that makes you understand why people fall in love with Croatia. The 9.8 rating honestly makes sense – this isn’t just a place to sleep, it’s a place that makes you want to wake up early just to watch the sunrise over the water.

  We loved everything about this stay and could not have asked for better. The studio is spotless and beautiful (exactly like the pictures), very modern with a nice view of the sea. The host is so kind, she stocked the kitchen with snacks and gave us all of the information that we needed to make the most of our trip. The walk to Old Town is about 25 minutes right along the water, but Uber is also available for a cheap price. We had an amazing time in Dubrovnik and I highly recommend booking this studio!

  The apartment is really well thought out, with all the necessities for your stay. There's a lot of storage, so you can keep everything out of your way while you enjoy the space. The terrace was lovely, with some great views. The location was quiet, but close enough to the centre of Dubrovnik, if you'd like to take a stroll and enjoy the views along the way. All main necessities are within walking distance and easy to access. The communication with the hostess was very easy and accessible. Would definitely come back and recommend to any family or friends planning on visiting!

  I don’t know where to start! The apartment was absolutely amazing. It was decorated perfectly and looks even better in real life than the photos. It’s been done to such a high standard.
  
  We were able to check in earlier and was also allowed to leave our bags after check out as our flight was later on.
  
  We were also given snacks and a bottle of Prosecco when we arrived which we were really appreciated.
  
  The host was helpful and kind and we were so sad to leave. It rained one day and we were actually so happy to spend the morning in the apartment as it was so beautiful and comfy.

  The apartment was beautiful, luxurious, and well-equipped. It was located in a peaceful and pleasant area. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful and communication with her was easy and comfortable. We received excellent recommendations from her for our week-long trip, and her tips on best activities, beaches, and transportation were very useful and we had a great time. She also arranged us a transportation from the airport and back. Everything went very smoothly. Would definitely recommend!
