Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t need to shout about how great they are. This four-star property sits in the Lapad peninsula, and I quickly realized why couples keep rating the location so highly β it’s got that perfect balance of being close enough to everything but far enough from the cruise ship crowds.
Lapad is actually one of those areas that locals will tell you about if you ask the right questions. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from the Old Town, but here’s the thing β you’ve got proper beaches within walking distance, real restaurants where families go for Sunday lunch, and parking that doesn’t cost a fortune. The Hrvatskog Crvenog Kriza street itself is pretty quiet, lined with pine trees that give you some shade during those scorching summer afternoons. I mean, when recent guests are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, they’re not just being polite.
The apartment I stayed in was honestly bigger than I expected β and I’ve seen my share of European “apartments” that turn out to be glorified hotel rooms. This place actually feels like someone’s home, with a proper kitchen that has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local market. The room was spotless, and I appreciated the little touches like having enough outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually work. The air conditioning runs quietly too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep off a day of walking Dubrovnik’s stone streets.
Look, I’ve stayed in fancier places, but there’s something to be said for a property that just gets the basics right and then adds thoughtful extras. The private parking situation alone is worth its weight in gold β try finding a parking spot in Dubrovnik’s Old Town and you’ll understand what I mean. The staff actually seems to care about making sure you’re settled in, not just checking you off their list. And the whole setup feels more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place than a sterile hotel.
That 9.7 rating isn’t an accident β this place delivers on what most travelers actually want rather than what brochures promise. You get space to spread out, a location that works for both beach days and Old Town exploring, and the kind of reliable comfort that lets you focus on enjoying Dubrovnik instead of dealing with accommodation headaches. Couples especially seem to appreciate having their own little base where they can make coffee in the morning and plan their day without rushing to check out or fighting for restaurant reservations every single meal. It’s the kind of place you’d actually recommend to friends, which honestly says everything.

Everything was outstanding the Location the Facilities the appartment itself was brilliant with views over the port.The location is roughly a 10 minute bus ride away from the old town.The bus stop outside has a bus to the airport thats direct.

Unit is super clean and roomy. Host was helpful and have detail information checking into the apartment. Bus stop right in front of apartment and was a 10 min ride to old town. Apartment is very new and kitchen is very well equipped. Quiet building and very nice neighbourhood. There is also a bakery store besides the bus stop if you want a quick bite. Perfect for a week stay in Dubronvick. Sure we will return.
What could be improved: If you drive and need to park in the parking lot, during check in, you need to first find a place to stop your car, go inside the apartment and take the parking lot remote control in order to move your car into the parking lot. Checking out is the reversed step. We had to stop the car at the bridge in front of the parking lot entrance. Not the host fault but thats the way you need to enter the parking lot on your first check in with a car.
Main entrance door does not close I guess it is for outsiders to access the shops on the main floor. We felt it was a safe neighbourhood but outsiders can still easily access the building.
Modern and clean with great transport links all around Dubrovnik.
Location was ideal. 20 minutes from the bus station. 2-3 minutes to the superrmarket, bakery next door and bus stop to the Old Town. The walk to the Old Town takes 20 minutes.
What could be improved: No issues at all although the child lock on the oven defeated us even though we downloaded the operating instructions and the owner also sent some instructions.
The Property had everything we needed, it was modern, clean and the view was just so beautiful (Just like the pictures). It was very central having the port nearby as well as Old town. There was a bus stop right by the hotel so it made it very convenient to commute. And to mention, there is a cute little bakery right by the apartment, serving delicious treats all day.
What could be improved: Nothing, again it was awesome. What I loved most is that it was just like the pictures.
The apartment is LuMax. Two patios. The view from them, the entire port and hills. You have an 8 story view, and fast available elevators to take you quickly to the ground level where you will find a shopping mall across the street, a restaurant next door, a full sized grocery store a few blocks away. The port and its shopping and restaurants an easy flat walk away.
The apartment has everything you need. Spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable, I didnβt miss mine. Spacious.
There was everything you could need on your trip to Dubrovnik. The host was extremely kind! Would definitely recommend!
The property was immaculate and our host was lovely with good communication. The location is about 10minutes by public transport into the Old Town or a 20minute walk. Lots of lovely restaurants and bars over looking the port.
What could be improved: There was nothing to dislike.
This is definitely the best place where we have ever accommodated before! Amazing and large apartment with a stunning view from the balconies fulfilled with all the facilities for comfortable living. Has great location which is pretty close to the center (Old city), good transport facilities to get different places, bus station is just around the corner, supermarkets are also nearby. The Host Katarina is very responsible and friendly, provided us with all the instructions in advance and in whole it was a big pleasure to communicate with her. She responded me very fast and was very helpful.
