But stepping inside this five-star property on Ulica kardinala Stepinca, I immediately understood why couples keep raving about this place. The building has this elegant, understated luxury that feels authentically Croatian rather than trying too hard to impress. You know what really caught my attention? The fact that there’s actually parking right on-site — and it’s free, which is practically unheard of in Dubrovnik.
The location is honestly spectacular, and I mean that without exaggeration. You’re close enough to Old Town that you can easily walk there, but far enough away that you escape the cruise ship crowds that flood the historic center every morning. What I loved most was being able to stroll back to the property in the evening when the city gets quieter and more romantic. The neighborhood feels residential and authentic — you’ll see locals going about their daily lives, which gives you a real sense of what Dubrovnik is like beyond the tourist facade.
The apartment itself feels more like a high-end residence than a typical hotel room. Of the five places we stayed on vacation, this one exceeded my expectations and was by far my favorite. This apartment was simply ideal -- gorgeous, spacious, modern, well-decorated, clean, and comfortable. We loved the balcony with its view of the sea, the kitchen with complimentary beverages and tea kettle, two spacious bathrooms with plenty of hot water (due to two hot water heaters!), the comfortable bedrooms with shutters and large windows, the new mattresses, the beautiful curtains, the comfortable couch and modern chairs, the washing machine with clothes drying rack, soft towels and sheets, the secure underground parking, the wonderful and accommodating host Maro, and the easy check-in process. This apartment is conveniently located close to the water, many shops, and highly rated restaurants. This apartment helped make our vacation fantastic and I did not want to leave. When we come back to Dubrovnik, we are staying here!!!
What could be improved: Nothing could have been better. We absolutely loved the place!
We loved our stay! There is a beach Lapad nearby as well as the promenade with caffees and restaurants. Old City easy access with bus number number 6, less than a minute walk to bus station. This is a brand new very well equiped apartment! Highly reccomended.
