You know what struck me first about Miró Studio Apartments? The location on Svetoga Durda street is actually perfect — and I mean that in the most practical way possible. You’re tucked away from the main tourist chaos, but honestly, you can still hear the Old Town’s energy without being right in the thick of those cruise ship crowds that descend every morning around 9 AM.

The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a well-designed friend’s place than a typical hotel. I’m talking proper kitchenettes with actual counter space (not those tiny hotel mini-fridges), and the studios are laid out smart — nothing feels cramped even though you’re essentially in one room. The 4-star rating makes sense here because they’ve nailed the details that actually matter: good water pressure, decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out when you’re trying to video call home, and windows that actually block out street noise. The whole building has this modern Croatian aesthetic going on, sort of minimalist but warm, if that makes sense.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to know Dubrovnik inside and out — they pointed me toward this little konoba (that’s the local word for tavern) about three minutes away that I never would’ve found otherwise. And here’s something practical: parking in Dubrovnik is absolutely brutal, but they actually help you figure out where to leave your car without paying tourist prices. The area around Svetoga Durda is residential enough that you get a feel for how locals actually live, which is refreshing after spending days dodging selfie sticks on the Stradun. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk to Pile Gate, but those 10 minutes take you through actual neighborhoods where you’ll see laundry hanging from windows and smell coffee brewing from corner cafés. The 8.8 rating honestly feels right — it’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but it delivers exactly what you need for exploring the city without the tourist hotel markup and atmosphere.

  Fantastic location; quite a few good places nearby for breakfast. Wonderful hosts, very responsive. Airconditioners were excellent. Lovely shower, mini kitchen ( we didn’t use it though). Very close to swimming beach (Sulic) and to Pile gate. We had ground floor unit; no stairs!!!!
  
  What could be improved: Being on ground floor meant we heard everyone coming and going through front entrance and the people walking in the street past the windows.

  Perfect location just out of old town but so close… even a little beach to swim at close by. Easy to find with great instructions.Extra
  Lovely and welcoming staff who accommodated early check in and were overall so helpful and friendly Comfortable bed and good shower nothing not to like.

  It can be complicated finding your room in the Dubrovnik but they provided detail directions and even a map showing the location which made it easy. With all tights, tall buildings, many rooms cannot have a great view, ours was on the top floor with a beautiful view of the water. Room is clean and comfortable, and the staff was helpful in all ways.
