The property was practically brand new inside,
Mattress was nice and firm so we slept really well. Good coffee and tea making facilities and the washer dryer downstairs came in very handy on the last night. Location was slap in the middle of the old town. 3 minutes to everything.
What could be improved: It’s a bit of a trek from the car park so need to be prepared if you are carrying heavy or large suitcases as it is cobblestones and steps all the way down. Best bet to pay for porter assistance.

First Impressions
Walking through the ancient stone streets of Dubrovnik’s Old Town to reach Modern Stone House, luxury suites in Dubrovnik Old Town feels like stepping into a postcard — except this one’s real and you get to sleep here. The property sits right on Ulica Plovani Skalini, which honestly couldn’t be more central if it tried. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by centuries-old architecture, and yet when you step inside, there’s this perfect blend of historical charm and contemporary comfort that just works.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in the absolute heart of everything, but it’s not one of those places where you’re constantly dodging tour groups. The location score of 9.5 isn’t just marketing fluff; couples especially seem to get it, rating the area 9.4 for romantic getaways. You can walk to Stradun (the main street) in about two minutes, hit the city walls whenever you want, and honestly, most of the Old Town’s restaurants and bars are within a five-minute stroll. No need for taxis or buses — your feet will do just fine.
The Suites
Each room here feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together. The stone walls give you that authentic Dubrovnik vibe, while the modern touches — think updated bathrooms and comfortable bedding — remind you this is a four-star property that takes guest comfort seriously. The suites are spacious enough that you won’t feel cramped after a day of sightseeing, and the windows frame views that’ll have you reaching for your camera more than once. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being so central — the thick stone walls definitely help with that.
Daily Life Here
Mornings start with the sound of the city slowly waking up below, which is actually pretty magical. You’ll want to get out early to explore before the cruise ship crowds arrive — that’s just smart Dubrovnik strategy. The staff knows the area well and can point you toward the less obvious gems, like which restaurant serves the best black risotto or when the city walls are least crowded. There’s no on-site parking (this is medieval Old Town, after all), but they’ll sort out arrangements for you at nearby lots.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5 rating isn’t an accident — this place delivers on the promise of staying in historic Dubrovnik without sacrificing modern comfort. You’re close enough to everything that matters but tucked away enough to feel like you’ve found something special. The combination of location, thoughtful design, and genuine hospitality creates one of those experiences where you’ll find yourself already planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.

What Our Guests Say
lovely room within Dubrovnik old town. Had all the amenities we needed and was modern and impeccably clean. Host was really helpful and helped with taxis to and from the room - which was great as the taxi driver walked us to the room the first time as we would never have found it without him !
While I was initially disappointed at the lack of light in the room, Danielle went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. She moved us to extraordinary accommodations next-door and was unbelievably responsive to all of our needs. She arranged for someone to take our luggage up and down the (very steep) steps when we checked out and was extremely helpful in making suggestions about places to eat. In the end, this was one of our best stays during our trip!

Very clean
Modern, comfortable and spacious
Thought of everything! Including coffee, washing powder, dishwashing tablets, smart tv. Gave us great tips for where to go visit and where to eat
Beautiful views
We enjoyed our stay at Daniela's accommodation. The location was very central, close to the main street/restaurants. The room was very comfy, clean and fully equipped, more than we thought. Daniela was a really nice and responsive host. I highly recommend that place. Thank you Daniela for your kindness.
Beautiful, modern, comfortable room in gorgeous Old Town Dubrovnik. Daniela was extremely responsive and helpful. I’m travelling solo and I felt safe at the property. I would highly recommend this property!
Daniela was so helpful & responsive, going above and beyond, including getting a bag of ice for me, during Easter break when a lot of things are closed, to deal with an injury. The room itself is beautifully designed, thoughtful lighting everywhere, oak ceiling beams, many power points in the right places, furnishings moderm Scandic utility cross with cosiness. Great shower pressure. Little table and 2 chairs to sit outside our ground floor room with a coffee in the morning, as there is a modern Nespresso machine in the room and an Alessi kettle for tea lovers. Location is the best, especially if you booked some day trips as most guides/tourist transportation is 6min walk from the apartment.
Lovely little apartment in a fantastic location in the old town, although we didn’t meet Daniela she was always checking we were ok and arranged all the airport transfers for us that went off without a hitch.
Bed was a little to hard for us but that’s a personal preference, apartment was very clean and had all the facilities you would need.
Would definately recommend
Beautiful stay in a great location
The property was like new. Lovely and clean, comfortable bed, great shower. Everything you could need. Coffee machine with milk. Very secure, great TV with Prime/Netflix. Only slight negative is there are a lot of steps to the property so pack light, although to say this it’s in an amazing location two minutes from lots of restaurants and the Main Street but very quiet at night so slept great. Could do with a little sofa but it was fine. It’s within the City walls so a really great spot.
