Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Dubrovnik apartments, and honestly? Most of them are either tourist traps charging way too much or they’re so far from the action you’ll spend half your vacation walking. But this little gem on Nalješkovićeva – it’s actually right where you want to be without the chaos.

The thing about staying in Old Town is that you’re either going to love the medieval stone walls surrounding you or you’ll feel claustrophobic after day two. This place hits that sweet spot where you get the authentic experience but the apartment itself feels modern and comfortable. I mean, you’re literally walking on streets that are older than most countries, but when you come back after a long day exploring, you’ve got proper air conditioning and a kitchen that actually works. The owner clearly gets what travelers need – there’s good water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think in these old buildings), and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some places I’ve endured.

What really sold me on this spot was how quiet it gets at night. You know how Stradun can be absolutely packed during the day with cruise ship crowds? Well, Nalješkovićeva is just off the main drag enough that you avoid most of that foot traffic, but you’re still maybe a two-minute walk from all the restaurants and shops. I could actually hear the morning church bells from Franciscan Monastery, which sounds romantic until you realize they start pretty early – but honestly, it grew on me. The street itself has this lovely worn stone that catches the light just right in the late afternoon, and there’s something about the way the narrow passages echo that makes you feel like you’re living in a different century.

The apartment itself is what I’d call thoughtfully equipped – whoever set this up actually stayed in vacation rentals before because they included all those little things you don’t think about until you need them. Good coffee setup, enough towels, proper hangers in the closet. The 9.7 rating isn’t just tourism board hype; people genuinely seem to love this place, and after staying there, I get it. It’s got that hard-to-fake combination of location, comfort, and character that makes you want to extend your stay. Plus, and this is key if you’re visiting during summer, the thick stone walls keep things surprisingly cool even when it’s blazing hot outside. You’ll probably end up like I did – using it as your base for day trips along the coast, then coming back each evening grateful you’re not staying in some generic hotel outside the walls.

  Incredible place. Location right off Stradun close to Pile Gate in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik. Has the history of Dubrovnik in its walls but still very modern thanks to the genius of the owners who built and manage it. A traveler like me can tell all of the work and feedback from 17 years of being in the business, that have been accounted for such as chargers conveniently positioned above the night stand, numerous clean towels and laundry facilities with soap and clothes pins, even travel books which we use regularly! Note, only stairs in the building.
  
  What could be improved: It would be helpful to also have some oil for cooking in the kitchen?

  The place was super clean, exactly as pictured. Had all the amenities required like washing machine, stove, aircon etc. it’s right at the city centre, walking distance to 100s of restaurants! The host was kind enough to also put out travel adapters to borrow!
  
  What could be improved: There’s 3 flights of stairs to go up the property. It’s very intense to do this with luggage especially without any help.

  Very clean, great utensils, iron and washing machine. Modern apartment with fantastic location. Easy to find. Yes it had 3 levels of stairs but worth the trip up and down. Very private.

  Very beautiful apartment in a very convenient location right off of Stradun. Everything was pristine, clean and comfortable. We arrived late and did not get a chance to meet Ines but she made checkin and out very smooth and was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again and wish we could have stayed here longer.
