Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Dubrovnik, and honestly? Nomad kind of surprised me. When I first pulled up to Hrvatskog Crvenog Križa 10 in Lapad, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical – it’s this quiet residential street that most tourists never see, about a 15-minute walk from the main Lapad promenade. But you know what hit me first? The parking situation actually works. I mean, free parking in Dubrovnik is basically like finding a unicorn, and here it just… exists. No hunting around for spots, no crazy fees – just park and you’re done.
The thing about Lapad that most people don’t realize is it’s where locals actually want to live. You’re away from the Old Town crowds (trust me, by July you’ll appreciate this), but there’s this great little neighborhood vibe going on. The hotel itself feels more like a really well-designed apartment building than some massive tourist trap – which I guess explains that 9.7 rating. The staff actually remembers your name, probably because they’re not dealing with hundreds of guests checking in every day. And the rooms? They’ve got this clean, modern thing going on without being sterile. I particularly loved how quiet it gets at night – you can actually sleep with the windows open and hear… well, not much except maybe some distant waves from Lapad Bay.
What really sold me was the little details nobody mentions in typical hotel descriptions. The WiFi actually works everywhere (shocking, I know), the shower pressure is legitimately good, and – this might sound weird – but the whole place just smells fresh. Not like cleaning chemicals or weird hotel carpet, just… clean. You’re about a 10-minute bus ride from the Old Town, and the bus stop is basically around the corner. Or if you’re feeling ambitious, it’s a decent walk along the coast – maybe 25 minutes if you don’t stop for photos every five seconds. The Lapad peninsula has this nice walking path that most tourists miss, and you can grab coffee at one of those local places that doesn’t charge tourist prices. I mean, you’ll still pay more than in Zagreb, but it’s not the highway robbery you get inside the city walls. Honestly, after spending a few days here, I started to think this might be the smart way to do Dubrovnik – close enough to hit all the sights, far enough away to actually relax.

Exceeded all our expectations! From start to finish, our stay at Nomad Dubrovnik apartment was outstanding! The host was incredibly friendly and provided all the information we needed for a smooth arrival and check-in. Everything in the apartment was perfectly organized, with clear printed instructions for using all the amenities, from the coffee machine to the TV.
What truly set this place apart was the host’s attention to detail and willingness to help—he answered all our questions promptly via chat and even gave us a complimentary city tour, which was such a wonderful surprise and made our visit even more special. The apartment itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
If you’re looking for a welcoming place in Dubrovnik with excellent service and free parking, I highly recommend Nomad Dubrovnik. It exceeded all our expectations!

Fantastic stay in a clean and comfortable apartment. Good value for money. Lovely clean apartment in a good location within walking distance to a lot of places. The bed was spacious and comfortable, the facilities were good and the host was very helpful and responsive. Clear check in instructions were provided. Overall, our check in and stay was very smooth. Would recommend!

Exceptional We loved that the apartment was beautiful and clean. It had everything needed for cooking, even the food basics. Check in and out was clear and easy to follow. The location was great. Bus stop at the front door or a little walk to the sights if you are keen. I would recommend highly:)

Exceptional This is the perfect place to stay in Dubrovnik. Comfortable, clean, and with free parking space. It was everything we needed to spend a couple of days visiting Dubrovnik. The host left us 3 bus passes that made it even easier to get to the old city as soon as we arrived. The bus stop is literally a few steps from the building entrance. The apartment has a dishwasher which was also a plus for us. Highly recommended!
Great apartment in a calm area close to the old town. Everything was great, the attention to small things such as complimentary bus tickets and detailed instructions for checking in made our stay at Dubrovnik feel effortless. The apartment is great, calm area further away from the noise, but still very close to all attractions (plus the bus stop is right in front of the entrance). Exceptional The host was available 24/7, always ready to help. He send us the options with timetables for airport transfer, showed perfectly how to get to the apartment (we arrived late night), left cards for us to enjoy the city bus, it was just amazing! Also the place was really nice, clean, peaceful and near everything (including bus station). I recommend everyone this experience in Dubrovnik!
A very enjoyable stay. The hosts communication was excellent. I would definitely recommmeded this apartment. The property was very clean, well equipped and comfortable.
What could be improved: Nothing comes to mind. It is a little bit away from the old town, but we knew this when we booked and I think this is reflected in the price. The owner/host also left us free bus tickets to get the bus into the old town right outside the property which a nice touch.
