Reviews of Old Town Hostel

  • Annette from Germany – 16 May 2025 (9/10)

This was a nice surprise! We loved our twin room 3D – although it was on the 3rd floor with lots of stairs to navigate, it meant it was quiet too. Spacious room, comfy beds and it felt clean. Great find.

What could be improved: The floor boards are very squeaky when you have to walk from your room to the bathroom, it feels like you will wake up everyone. My earplugs worked well, I didn't hear anything.

  • Jyoti from India – 9 May 2025 (9/10)

    Location

  • Elizabeth from United States – 5 May 2025 (9/10)

The location was terrific, very close to the Pile Gate. The hostel was clean. The kitchen was well stocked and clean, if you chose to cook. Michael is friendly and welcoming.

What could be improved: Not the fault of the hostel, but there were,at times, lots of street noise.

  • Buckingham from New Zealand – 4 May 2025 (8/10)

Was great stay. Comfortable and clean and exactly what I was after

What could be improved: Possibly a little noise at night as I was only one yhe first floor nect to the street.

  • Carrie from Ireland – 26 April 2025 (8/10)

Excellent location, clean, owner is great

  • Sonia from United Kingdom – 25 April 2025 (9/10)

Comfortable beds and location was fantastic. A few seconds to the old town by foot! Staff were super friendly and the facilities were clean and decently maintained. Good kitchen area and cereals available for breakfast for free. Extra blankets are available in the cupboards in the room and a small towel is provided for free

What could be improved: Extremely noisy on the Main Street making it difficult to sleep until around 1am. More showers/toilets would be great as there was only one in each floor.

  • Nick from United Kingdom – 9 April 2025 (9/10)

Great Hostel, nice staff, great location!

    What could be improved: Nothing!

  • A654 from Czech Republic – 7 April 2025 (8/10)

    Helpful staff
    Great location
    Water tap in the room
    Hot shower with good pressure
Lost of good recommendations available at the reception

What could be improved: The solo room is really small (understandable for the area and price)
WC flush is so high up that a short person can hardly reach it 😄

  • Delia from Mexico – 11 November 2024 (9/10)

The location is extraordinary, it is a hostel so I don’t expect many things as a hotel

What could be improved: The stairs and the shower

  • Eriko from United Kingdom – 6 November 2024 (9/10)

Very clean, room was perfect, facilities were good, conveniently located in Old Town, and staff were lovely.

What could be improved: Since it is located near Stradun, you can hear the noise from nearby restaurants. With the exception of drunk tourists chatting or singing loudly on their way back to their accomodation, everything goes quiet at 11PM.
