So I stumbled across OLD TOWN LEA tucked away on Nalješkovićeva ulica, and honestly – this little three-star gem completely surprised me. You know how sometimes you book a place without huge expectations and then it just… delivers? That’s exactly what happened here. The moment I walked in, there was this immediate sense of calm that felt almost impossible given we’re literally in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town.

Here’s the thing about this location – and I mean this in the best way possible – you’re close enough to hear the morning bustle when the cruise ship crowds start filtering through Pile Gate, but far enough down this quieter residential street that you actually get proper sleep. I watched locals heading to work each morning from my window, which honestly felt more authentic than staring at another tourist restaurant. The staff clearly know their neighborhood too; they pointed me toward this tiny bakery about two minutes away that I never would’ve found otherwise, and steered me away from the obvious tourist traps on Stradun (you know the ones). What really got me was how they handled the whole check-in process – none of that rushed, scripted hotel routine, just genuine people who seemed to actually care about whether I’d enjoy Dubrovnik.

The building itself has this lovely old-world feel without being stuffy about it. My room was simple but thoughtfully put together, with those thick stone walls that keep everything surprisingly cool even during the August heat. Actually, the whole place runs quiet – I mean, you’ll hear church bells in the morning because that’s just life in the Old Town, but no slamming doors or hallway conversations at midnight. And parking, since I know everyone asks – forget about it near the hotel, but there’s a decent lot about a ten-minute walk away near Gruz port. Most people just fly in anyway, and the airport shuttle drops you close enough that dragging luggage isn’t a nightmare. I kept thinking about how this place manages to feel both central and peaceful, which is pretty rare in a city where every second building seems to be either a restaurant or a Game of Thrones gift shop. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, it’s just doing the basics really, really well.

  Really beautiful. The upstairs bedroom was charming and bright.
  
  What could be improved: There wasn’t really anything to dislike, just be aware that it is located at the top of Old Town, so there are many stairs. Once inside you climb another short flight of stairs and your bedroom is upstairs the living area, shown in the photos so no surprise.
  We were left a partial roll plus another roll of toilet paper and ran out. We were told we would have to buy more ourselves. FYI.

  Amazing apartment and great location! Everything is within walking distance – the harbor, restaurants, Fort Lovrijenac, and the Dubrovnik city walls. There are quite a few stairs in the area, but if you get dropped off at the Buza parking lot, it’s only a 5-minute walk to the apartment with fewer stairs to go up and down. Also great host!

  amazing apartment, well designed decor to match the beautiful city. Yes there are steps but there are steps everywhere here! excellent communication and directions from lovely owner. highly recommend, we stayed for 4 nights and the apartment was ready before we arrived even though we arrived around midday ❤️ thank you!

  Loved the location in the old town. The apartment had a lot of character but had modern amenities. There was ample tea and coffee and a bottle of wine and lollies left for us. Comfortable bed with lovely linen.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing to dislike but be prepared for a lot of stairs. We were ok with this as it added to the fun and the location more than compensated for the stairs.

  The host had wine and port on the table for us. The kitchen was stocked with Nespresso pods and coffee. There’s also a microwave!
  The space matches the photos well and is in a great location. The place seems recently renovated.
  
  What could be improved: The host needs more towels — we were given a full sized towel and a bath matt. There really isn’t anything wrong with that, but a second full sized towel and/or a washcloth would have been really nice.

  The apartment is so beautifully restored, it offers a great experience in the Old Town with amazing facilities, restaurants all around you. Located in a perfect place to visit everything easily.

  The location was awesome and easy to get everywhere around Old Town and surrounds. Easy access to property from Buza Gate. The property is so cute and clean and an amazing Dubrovnik experience! Has everything you need for a super comfortable stay. Loved it!
