This four-star property sits in what’s genuinely the best-rated area of Dubrovnik, and I mean that quite literally with its 9.0 location score. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel,” which I really appreciated.
You know what struck me most about staying here? The location is ridiculously good without being right in the chaos of the Old Town crowds. I could walk to all the main sights easily, but when I came back in the evenings, it felt like stepping into a quieter, more authentic part of the city. The couples rating of 8.8 makes total sense — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of Dubrovnik that feels discovered rather than obvious. Plus, and this is huge, they actually have free private parking on site, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Dubrovnik, you’ll know is basically like finding gold.
My room had this lovely blend of modern comfort and Croatian character that didn’t feel forced or themed to death. The windows opened to views of the surrounding neighborhood — not the sea, but honestly, I preferred watching local life unfold below. The beds were properly comfortable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not a given), and the bathroom was well-designed with good water pressure. What I really liked was how quiet everything was at night, despite being so centrally located.
The staff here actually know the city well — not just the tourist version, but the real Dubrovnik. They pointed me toward a tiny restaurant about three blocks away that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals. I mean, you can get recommendations anywhere, but these felt genuine and personal. The front desk also helped me figure out the best times to visit the city walls to avoid the cruise ship crowds, which saved me hours of waiting in lines.
That 8.7 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects what happens when a hotel gets the fundamentals right without trying too hard to impress. Orange Volantina works because it’s positioned perfectly for exploring Dubrovnik while offering a peaceful retreat when you need it. Easy to book, Easy to find, Instructions for self checkin were excellent. Very comfortable. Everything worked brilliantly, Wifi, Heater, etc. Response time immediate when we needed some assistance. Close to Tourist centre( less than 10 minutes walk) to see the sites. Couldnt have asked for a better abode for our Trip. Thanks so much Maria!

Easy to find, parking next to the police station was a bonus. Really good location for walking to Old Town or Lapad
- The flat is only 10-15 mins walk from the Walls of Dubrovnik.
- There are shops, a bakery and a bus stop nearby.
- Getting the keys is really flexible: the host gives you detailed instructions about how to get the keys from the key box.
What could be improved: -
Ideal location, shop, bus stop, taxi rank and italian restaurant all within a minutes walk from the apartment. 10 min walk to old town and the no 8 bus drops you right outside the apartment if ur tired and don't want to walk up the steps, which are part of Dubrovnik. The communication with Maria was excellent, any query was answered immediately and she organised transport to and from the airport for us.
What could be improved: Nothing, it was all super.

Overall this apartment is perfect to stay in. Very clean, comfortable, great location and very close to the old town.
Prior to arrival the information shared in PDF format made it very easy to locate the apartment and key collection was also very easy.
Many activities, bars, restaurants, excursions to keep you occupied.
Finally, a lovely dog named Dixie lives next door and was a lovely friendly face to see every morning :)
What could be improved: There are alot of steps to climb up to this apartment, so be aware of this before hand!
