Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Old Town Dubrovnik places, and honestly? This PK Apartments spot surprised me. You know what I mean when I say most “city view” apartments in the old quarter are basically looking at someone’s laundry line – but this one actually delivers on that promise. The two-bedroom setup gives you proper space to spread out, which is honestly a relief after squeezing into those cramped medieval buildings all day.
The location is what really makes this place work. You’re right in the thick of things on the cobblestones, but somehow it’s positioned where you don’t get the worst of the cruise ship crowds trampling past your windows at 7 AM. I mean, you’ll still hear them – it’s Old Town, that’s just reality – but it’s more of a distant hum than the full circus. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. The kitchen actually has proper-sized pots (not those tiny tourist apartment things), and the beds are decent quality. Nothing fancy, but you know it’s not going to fall apart when you sit down.
What I really appreciated was how the place sits relative to everything else. You’re maybe two minutes from Stradun if you want to join the madness, but you can also duck down toward the harbor area pretty easily. The local konoba owners around there actually recognize you after a couple days – that’s how you know you’re in a real neighborhood pocket, not just tourist central. Parking is the usual Old Town nightmare, obviously, but the host actually gives you realistic advice about where to leave your car instead of just shrugging. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no weird key pickup drama or confusing instructions. Just honest communication about what to expect. Sure, it’s not luxury, but for a three-star place, it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.
