You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Dubrovnik over the years, and Rausion Luxury Apartments honestly caught me off guard – in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Strahimira Kranjčevića, which sounds intimidating but locals just call it “the quiet street behind the main hospital area.” I mean, that might not sound glamorous, but here’s the thing – you’re actually in this perfect sweet spot where you can walk to the Old Town in about 15 minutes (downhill, obviously), but you’re far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at 6 AM.

The building itself has this understated elegance that feels more like staying in a friend’s really nice apartment than a hotel. When I walked into my unit, the first thing that hit me was how much natural light floods these places – they’ve got these huge windows that frame the Adriatic perfectly, and honestly, I spent way too much time just sitting there with my morning coffee watching the ferries drift by. The kitchens are actually functional too, not just for show like some places. I picked up groceries at the Konzum down the street (maybe a 3-minute walk) and cooked a few meals, which – let’s be real – saved me a fortune since Dubrovnik restaurants can absolutely demolish your budget. The apartment had this lived-in comfort but with all the high-end touches you’d expect from a 5-star place. Marble bathrooms, really good air conditioning (crucial in summer), and beds that I’m pretty sure are better than what I have at home.

What really sold me on this place though was the staff’s approach – they’re not hovering, but they actually know the neighborhood. The woman at reception told me about this tiny family-run konoba about 10 minutes away that doesn’t even have a sign, just locals eating incredible seafood for half what you’d pay in Stari Grad. She also mentioned that if you time it right, you can catch the local bus route that cuts your walking time to the main sights in half, which honestly saved my feet after a few days of wandering those ancient stone streets. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of town – there’s street parking but it fills up fast during peak season, though they do have arrangements with a nearby garage. The whole area gets pleasantly quiet after 9 PM, which I actually loved after spending days in the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re still close enough to hear the occasional late-night laughter from the restaurant terraces below, but it’s more ambient than annoying. If you’re looking for that perfect balance of luxury and authentic Dubrovnik living – without paying Old Town prices or dealing with Old Town noise – this place really delivers.

  The location was good, the apartment was in a safe location. Everything was more or less perfect.
  Bakery and supermarket close by
  Bus stop is 3min and close to the flat and you can travel to central Dubrovnik
  
  What could be improved: The water temperature in the shower dropped for 2 days which was the only downside.
  
  I think it would be hospitable to have a couple of herbal teas for guests staying in the cupboard.

  Perfect location. Also you can get to your apartment door via a lift from the car park. There are also no stairs from the street to the apartment so for people with mobility problems or bad knees/hips it’s perfect.

  Fabulous stay in a modern, clean and safe apartment – 20-25 minute walk to the old town (Pile gate). One direct road and very easy to get to the city centre from the property. We took the number 8 bus directly outside the property as we had small children. The bus journey only took 10 minutes (2.5 euros). We also took the local ferry (10 – 15 minute) walk from the property to visit the the small islands. A beautiful port close by for an evening walk and food. The airport transfer bus drops you off at the port (bus station), which was really helpful when we first arrived and departed.
  
  Beaches are everywhere and a short walk to Bellevue and Lapad Bay is also easily assessable (25 minute) walk from the apartment. Amazing Bus network. We loved the local bakery on our way out and the pizzeria both situated just outside the door! Supermarkets are also near the property for essentials and ingredients.
  
  Plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans to cook food in the apartment. Parking underneath for a daily charge.
  
  A safe, modern and clean apartment for families with ample of space. Towels and bins are changed every two days. The owner was so helpful and kindly gave us UK plug adapters on arrival! We hope to return to this property next year.

  El apartamento era nuevo, amplio, silencioso y muy cómodo. Tenía parking privado de pago y ascensor hasta la planta del apartamento.
  
  What could be improved: No tenia lavadora ni un reposamaletas, las tuvimos que dejar en el suelo. Faltaban detalles como, portarrollos de papel higiénico, papel de cocina, estropajo. No nos pareció correcto que entrarán en el apartamento sin avisarnos.

  Ein sauberes, gut und modern ausgestattetes Apartment. Ein kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft und ein Bäcker ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Vermieterin war sehr hilfsbereit. Der Tiefgaragenparkplatz ist sehr zu empfehlen, zumal das Parken auf der Straße teurer und wegen fehlender Plätze kaum möglich ist.
