Spacious. Modern. Good location
What could be improved: The AC did not work at night. No screens on the windows. Worried about mosquitos getting in at night. Opening the windows brought in noise.

First Impressions
Walking through the ancient stone streets of Dubrovnik’s Old Town and stumbling upon Rooms Klarisa Palace feels like discovering a well-kept secret. This four-star property sits right on Poljana Paska Miličevića, which honestly couldn’t be more central if it tried — you’re literally steps away from everything that matters in this UNESCO World Heritage site. The building itself has that perfect blend of historical charm and modern comfort that you hope for but don’t always find in these medieval settings.
The Heart of Old Town
You know what’s brilliant about this location? You can roll out of bed and be at Stradun (the main street) in about two minutes, but you’re tucked away just enough to avoid the constant tourist shuffle. I mean, couples absolutely rave about this spot — they’ve given it a 9.7 rating, and after spending time here, I totally get why. The Rector’s Palace is practically next door, and you can reach the city walls without breaking a sweat. Plus, there’s something magical about being able to duck into these quiet side streets when the day-trippers get overwhelming.
The Room Experience
The accommodations here strike that sweet spot between authentic character and modern amenities. Each room feels thoughtfully designed — you’ll find original stone details mixed with contemporary furnishings that actually work together (not always a given in these historic conversions). The windows open onto either the charming square or the surrounding medieval architecture, and honestly, waking up to those limestone walls catching the morning light never gets old. Air conditioning works perfectly too, which you’ll definitely appreciate during those sweltering summer afternoons.
Daily Rhythms
What I love about staying here is how naturally you fall into the rhythm of Old Town life. There’s no on-site restaurant, but that’s actually perfect — you’re surrounded by some of Croatia’s best dining options within a five-minute walk. The staff knows all the local spots and will steer you toward places the cruise ship crowds haven’t discovered yet. Storage space is generous, and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t feel like you’re roughing it, despite being surrounded by 14th-century walls.
Why Guests Love It
The location score of 9.8 tells the whole story, really — this is as close to the action as you can get while still feeling like you have your own peaceful corner of Dubrovnik. You can walk to the cable car, explore the fortress walls, or catch a boat to Lokrum Island without any hassle. But what guests consistently mention is how quiet it gets at night, despite being so central. The Old Town empties out after the day tours leave, and you get this incredible sense of having this medieval masterpiece almost to yourself. That combination of perfect positioning and genuine tranquility is pretty rare in a place as popular as Dubrovnik.

Amazing location
I liked that I could walk out and be in old town. My 1st 2 nights there was live music outside and it was very loud. The room was lovely and bed comfortable.
What could be improved: I wish there was a full time receptionist. Thomas was wonderful helping me with many suggestions and helping reserve my bus ticket. He helped me arrange a taxi when leaving. He was very patient and efficient.a
Location! Cannot be beat. Stroll out the door to shops, the fountain, live music, coffee, gelato and the gate.
What could be improved: We loved everything!
Great location inside Pile gate. No lugging suitcases through old town. Thomas was very nice and accommodating. Biggest bathroom on our trip so far. A/C worked well.
What could be improved: No blow dryer in the bathroom.
Location was fantastic. Room was lovely and kept clean, and the staff were really friendly. The contact between the taxi driver and Rooms Klarisa Palace was excellent, we had not arrived within 10 minutes of drop off, we got a call and were guided to the room.
What could be improved: There was nothing to dislike.
Would highly recommend! The location was excellent, the bedroom and bathroom were a good size, the bed was super comfortable, and the A/C was nice and strong!
Locations was fantastic, and rooms very comfortable and quiet which was surprising given the location.
What could be improved: A little hard to find, but neighboring shops very helpful in showing us the entrance.
