The building sits quietly on Bruna Busica street in Ploče, and you know what? That’s actually perfect because you’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the tourist chaos. The entrance has this clean, modern feel that immediately tells you someone cares about the details here.
Here’s the thing about Ploče — it’s where locals would choose to stay if they were tourists in their own city. You’re literally a short walk from the Old Town walls, but you can actually get a decent night’s sleep because you’re not directly above the late-night revelry. I mean, couples seem to really get this (they rate the location 8.5, which makes total sense), and after spending time here, I can see why. The neighborhood has that residential feel where you’ll pass actual Dubrovnik families on their way to work, not just other travelers taking selfies.
Look, I’m pretty picky about beds when I travel, and I was genuinely surprised by how comfortable the room setup is here. They’ve clearly invested in proper mattresses and bedding — none of that thin, scratchy stuff you sometimes get at boutique places. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully designed without being overly fancy. You get good blackout curtains (essential in summer when the sun’s up forever), decent air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and enough space to actually unpack your suitcase properly.
The staff here operates with this refreshing lack of pretension — they’re helpful without hovering, knowledgeable about the city without being pushy about recommendations. When I needed directions to a specific restaurant off the beaten path, the front desk person actually drew me a little map and mentioned which streets get crowded at certain times. That’s the kind of local insight you can’t get from a chain hotel. The whole property feels like it’s run by people who actually understand what travelers need versus what looks good in photos.
Honestly, it comes down to location and execution. You’re getting that top-rated Dubrovnik neighborhood experience without paying Old Town prices or dealing with Old Town crowds. The combination of genuinely comfortable accommodations and smart positioning makes this place work for different types of travelers — whether you’re here for a romantic getaway or just want a solid base for exploring the region. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it delivers on the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re spending several days somewhere.

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and did all they could to make our stay wonderful. The market was close by to grab breakfast to eat on the balcony and enjoy the superb views!!
The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The view from the room was spectacular, looking down on the ancient walled city of Dubrovnik and the surrounding islands.
The sloping beamed ceiling was a little restricting but perfect for our needs.
The shared balcony on the floor below was an unexpected bonus and a great place to sit with the other guests during the evening.

It was high up in the hills. I had to Uber as lots of the steps were not great for my knees. It’s ok going down. But Dubrovnik has lots of steps.
Fantastic view of the city, clean, friendly and great value for money.

Clean, tidy, very comfy bed, cute shampoo and body wash in the bathroom and perfect location!

What could be improved: Overall it is a great room. We stayed for one night and we needed somewhere to store our bikes safely. The room’s slanted line and the tight stairs to the room made this impossible. Fortunately the woman allowed us to put them down in her entry way.
The host is a very pleasant woman who wants to make sure you are happy and comfortable with the room. While the rooms are small, they are newly done, clean and well appointed with everything you need. The location is atop a hill so one has to be prepared to take an Uber (8 Euro) to the old town, or walk down the steep hill. The price of the room was very good. The view from the balcony is beyond spectacular. You can see the entire walled city from the balcony.
The accommodation offered a shared kitchen sitting area and a shared terrace which overlooked the wonderful walled city of Dubrovnic.
What could be improved: Don't leave any food on the side in the kitchen unless you want it immediately cleared away!! Also note that it is some way up the hill out of Dubrovnic - it didn't bother us but it is a steep climb and only good if you are fit enough or take an Uber.
