You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually delivers – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think in Dubrovnik. When they say “Sea And Old City View,” they mean it. From the apartment on Grudska ulica, you’re literally looking down at those famous terracotta rooftops everyone posts on Instagram, with the Adriatic stretching out beyond the city walls. I mean, the view alone makes you feel like you’re living in a postcard.

The location is pretty sweet if you know Dubrovnik at all. Grudska ulica runs just outside the old town walls – close enough that you can walk to Stradun (the main street) in maybe three minutes, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at 7 AM. That’s actually huge during summer when the old town gets absolutely packed. I stayed here in July and could retreat back to the apartment for a midday break without it being this whole expedition. The apartment itself is solid for a 3-star setup – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s clean. The kitchen is small but functional if you want to grab groceries from the Konzum down the street instead of paying restaurant prices for every meal (which, let’s be honest, adds up fast in Dubrovnik).

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re on a residential street, so once the day-trippers head back to their cruise ships around 4 PM, the whole area just… exhales. You can actually hear the waves hitting the rocks below the city walls from the apartment – it’s this subtle background sound that makes falling asleep pretty nice. The 7.9 rating seems about right to me. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it hits all the important marks without any major frustrations. The check-in was straightforward, and the host was responsive when I had questions about the wifi password. Speaking of which – the internet actually works well, which matters if you’re trying to upload those sunset photos or need to stay connected for work. One small thing to note: there’s a bit of a climb to get there from the main road, but nothing too brutal if you’re reasonably mobile. Just pack light or be prepared to make a couple trips with your luggage. Oh, and parking – if you’re driving, you’ll want to use the public lots near the cable car station. Don’t even think about trying to park in the old town area.
