The location on Ulica Ivana Matijaševića is actually brilliant if you know the area. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the Old Town walls, which sounds far until you realize you’re dodging most of the cruise ship crowds that clog up the closer hotels. Plus, there’s this great little bakery two blocks down that locals hit up for morning burek – the kind of spot you’d never find if you were staying right in the tourist zone. The rooms themselves are pretty straightforward, nothing fancy, but they’re clean and the AC actually works (trust me, in July that matters more than marble bathrooms). I stayed in a room facing the courtyard and it was blissfully quiet, though I heard from other guests that the street-facing ones can get a bit noisy during morning rush hour.
