Soleil Luxury Rooms Old town
You know what caught me off guard about Soleil Luxury Rooms?
You know what caught me off guard about Soleil Luxury Rooms? The moment you walk through that entrance on Prijeko, you’re hit with this immediate sense of calm that’s honestly pretty rare in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. I mean, Prijeko street can get absolutely bonkers during peak season – it’s lined with restaurants and there’s this constant buzz of tourists figuring out where to eat – but somehow once you’re inside, all that noise just melts away.
The rooms themselves are actually impressive for what you’d expect from a boutique place in these ancient stone buildings. Everything feels thoughtfully done without being stuffy about it. The air conditioning works (trust me, you’ll need it in July), and I was genuinely surprised by how spacious things felt considering you’re literally inside the medieval city walls. What really sold me though was stepping out in the early morning – maybe around 7 AM before the cruise ship crowds hit – and having Stradun basically to yourself for those few precious minutes. The location puts you right in the thick of everything, but you’re just off the main drag enough that you’re not dealing with the street performers and tour groups until you actually want to.
Here’s the thing about staying this centrally – parking is going to be your biggest headache, but honestly, that’s true anywhere in the Old Town. You’ll end up using the Ilijina Glavica garage anyway, which is about a 10-minute walk with your luggage. The staff actually gave me pretty solid directions and seemed to know the drill with helping guests navigate that situation. I’d say the 8.9 rating makes sense because while it’s not trying to be some massive luxury resort, it absolutely nails what it’s going for. The whole experience feels more like staying at a really well-designed friend’s place than a typical hotel – if your friend happened to live in one of the most stunning medieval cities in Europe, that is. During shoulder season especially, when the crowds thin out a bit and you can actually enjoy wandering those marble streets without getting swept along in tourist traffic, this spot really shines. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself heading back to your room in the afternoon just because it’s such a nice retreat from all the sightseeing.

What Our Guests Say
location! nice and helpful.proprieters.
What could be improved: did not realize the number of steps to get luggage to and from lodging. lodging is inside the city walls. thsnkful for the help with heavy suitcases.
Central, right in the middle of Old Town.
Location middle in the old town of Dubrovnik
What could be improved: Low ceiling in the bathroom
Very friendly & helpful staff! Silent room & good bed, good location near the gate.
Very Hood location in The old town. Bed was big and comfy.
What could be improved: Lotus of stairs before you get to apartment, also apartment is on second floor.
Our room was very comfortable and the location in the Old Town was fabulous so would recommend it. We parked our rental car near the cable car (where there is luggage storage available) and it was a 5 minute walk to the accommodation. Be prepared for steps up and down but take your time and savour the view. Spoilt for choice with restaurants and cafes nearby. Finding parking in Dubrovnik isn’t easy, our host gave directions to a parking location which was helpful (€57 for 20 hours parking in shoulder season). She had asked us for an arrival time so she could meet us at the accommodation and we felt a bit pressured as we got lost finding the parking and so were running late. She was messaging us asking us how long we were going to be as she was waiting; made it a bit stressful for us arriving in a new place.
Great location and good value for money to say it's in the old town. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Room was carved out from a cave. Had a great soaking tub. A very nice room. Had to leave very next morning and wasn’t able to get to free breakfast, but host AnaMaria was very nice and made up during that so I can take it on way out.
What could be improved: N/A
Amazing location.
Large bedroom. Comfy bed.
Plenty of hot water. Fridge.
Anamaria was really helpful before and during stay and organised a stress free transfer to/from the airport
What could be improved: Large/good shower but the rest of bathroom was small but still OK
