You know what caught me off guard about Sunlit Comfort Apartments? The name actually makes sense – I mean, you’d be surprised how many places promise “sunlit” rooms and deliver a cave. But here on Postranjska, just outside Dubrovnik’s old town bustle, these apartments really do get this gorgeous morning light that sort of spills across the rooms in a way that makes you want to linger over coffee way longer than you planned.
I’ve stayed in a bunch of places around Dubrovnik, and honestly, finding something this well-maintained with a 9.6 rating that isn’t completely overpriced is… well, it’s rare. The location is what really sold me though – Postranjska is one of those streets where you’re close enough to walk to Pile Gate in about ten minutes (maybe fifteen if you’re hauling luggage), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups and those annoying early morning delivery trucks that rattle through the old town. The owner clearly knows the area because they’ve got these little touches – like actual recommendations for the bakery around the corner that locals hit up, not just the touristy spots everyone mentions.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. During peak season, you’ll hear some distant chatter from the main streets, but nothing that keeps you awake. The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s well-kept home than a rental property – there’s this attention to detail that you don’t usually get. The kitchen actually has everything you need (I’m talking good knives, not those flimsy things most places provide), and the WiFi is solid, which honestly saved me when I needed to handle some work stuff. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-hunting or confusing instructions you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The whole experience just felt… I don’t know, thoughtful? Like someone actually considered what travelers need instead of just throwing together a basic setup and calling it done. If you’re planning to explore Dubrovnik but want a place that feels like a proper home base rather than just somewhere to crash, this is exactly the kind of spot that makes the whole trip better.

Welcoming stay This property was in the perfect location, being directly between the old town and the port. The host was really friendly, communicative, and welcoming throughout.
Enjoyed our stay! Comfortable beds. Aircon was working well. Close to the bus stop (less than 2-3min walk). Good communication with host.
What could be improved: There’s stairs getting into the property, so if you have big luggages it might be a struggle. Otherwise everything is good!
Superb Very quiet and clean. Pretty close to key locations (20 min walk to the old city and 15 min to the port). Grocery store at 300m.

Clean, comfortable and great location. Clean, comfy beds and a great location in between Dubrovnik Old Town and the port. The Old Town is about 20 mins walk (up a hill with some stairs) or €7 in an Uber. Igor the host was also super helpful and gave us some great recommendations. Cute terrace to sit out in and it was useful to have a washing machine. There’s also a supermarket and nice bakery a few mins walk.
What could be improved: Nothing! We enjoyed our stay and couldn’t fault anything.
Overall, would highly recommend staying here! Very clean flat, all the necessary appliances for a holiday stay. Very good location and lovely sunset views from terrace. Host very professional and kind and provided lots of information to help us enjoy our stay in Dubrobnik. Always available to answer any questions. Overall would highly recommend!
Lovely stay in Dubrovnik! We had a fantastic stay here. Igor, the host, was most helpful and had plenty of recommendations of things to do and places to eat - we did most of them! The apartment is a 25 minute walk to Old Town and a short walk to the port which is where the boats take off for island excursions which made it an ideal location. The property had everything we needed and a good TV with international channels which made it easy to watch the Euros. We would definitely stay again :)

Superb The property was clean and had everything we needed. There is even an outside terrace where we ate breakfast and it had 2 sunbeds as well. 25 minute walk to old town - the walk back is very uphill! But very much enjoyed our stay here. Parking was arranged and only a short walk away - car won’t be needed in Dubrovnik, but we were travelling onto Split afterwards.
What could be improved: No toaster in property - used grill in oven for breakfast toast
Wonderful location, great apartment, nice host. The price at the peak of the season is a bit high. Amazing view from the patio. The apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped.
