Sweet Dream Apartment
You know what struck me first about Sweet Dream Apartment?
You know what struck me first about Sweet Dream Apartment? The name actually fits – and I’m usually pretty cynical about these things. It’s tucked away on Mata Vodopića, which honestly took me a few tries to pronounce correctly, but once you find it in Lapad, you’ll get why this place has that killer 9.6 rating. The location is sort of perfect in that understated way – you’re not right in the crush of Old Town tourists, but you can still walk to Lapad Beach in about ten minutes. I mean, after spending days dodging cruise ship crowds in the historic center, coming back to this quiet residential street felt like exhaling.
The apartment itself has this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. The owners clearly put thought into the details – proper blackout curtains (trust me, summer sunrises come early here), a kitchen that’s actually equipped for more than just heating up leftovers, and what I’d call grown-up furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel supply catalog. The Wi-Fi is solid, which matters if you’re trying to upload those inevitable sunset photos from the nearby promenade. Speaking of which, the evening walk along the Lapad coastline is honestly one of Dubrovnik’s best-kept secrets – locals jog there, families bring kids to play, and there’s this great little café called Villa Wolff where you can grab morning coffee without the Old Town markup.
What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that most descriptions skip. Parking is included, which is huge because finding a spot in Dubrovnik can be a nightmare and expensive as hell. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no waiting around in a lobby, just clear instructions and keys that actually work on the first try. The neighborhood gets quiet after dinner, so you’ll actually sleep well, but there’s a decent grocery store (Konzum) just down the street if you want to stock up on Croatian wine and those addictive Bajadera chocolates. The bus connections are reliable if you want to explore beyond Dubrovnik, and honestly, the whole setup just feels more authentic than staying in some generic hotel where every room looks identical. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just passing through – which, after a few days, you’ll realize is exactly what you wanted.

What Our Guests Say
Absolutely nice place with all the necessary things for a comfortable stay. A good shop and bakery, as well as a couple of restaurants right across the street from the house. The sea and the beach are within walking distance.
Beside that Nikola is an excellent host! Thanks you!
Nice place to stay, near the market, close to the beach
very nice 2-bedroom apartment in Dubrovnik's new city with private parking. Each bedroom with own air conditioner.
What could be improved: There was no olive oil to make a salad. I had to buy my own which I had then to leave in the apartment.
Modern apartment located in close proximity to restaurants, promenade, pebble beach & local transportation.
The host, Nikola, was extremely helpful & courteous.
What could be improved: Missing a sun terrace & pool area [however we knew this prior to booking]
Very good location not up many stairs. Close to everything nearby.
Modern and spacious apartment, A/C in every room, two toilets, elevator, garage, nice and helpfull owner.
What could be improved: Can get noisy around apartment but this is normal for Lapad area.
Great apartment, really clean and comfortable. Great facilities and a super location too. Great communication before and during our stay.
What could be improved: Nothing!
We liked absolutely everything: the whole apartment and the location as well. The supermarket just across the road, Sunset beach a few minutes away from the apartment. The Airport pick up is also excellent. We would recommend definitely. 👌
What could be improved: -
Location, cleanliness, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, washing machine.
What could be improved: Would love to have a little swimming pool for kids cuz nearby beach Uvala is not as great. Otherwise amazing!
