It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street in Lapad where you can hear the sea but not the tourist crowds – and honestly, that’s exactly what you want after a day of navigating Dubrovnik’s packed Old Town. The apartment itself is spacious in that refreshing way where you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, which I mean, after staying in some of those cramped European hotel rooms, felt like pure luxury. The modern setup works really well here – clean lines, decent kitchen that you’ll actually use, and those big windows that let in all that Croatian sunshine without making the place feel like a greenhouse.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve thought about the details that matter when you’re settling in for more than just a night or two. The two bedrooms are properly separated (not just divided by a curtain or something), so if you’re traveling with friends or family, everyone gets their privacy. The wifi actually works throughout the apartment – I was able to video call from the balcony without any of those annoying dropouts. And speaking of the balcony, you get these glimpses of the Adriatic between the buildings, especially if you lean out just a bit. The Lapad peninsula is honestly one of the better areas to stay in Dubrovnik because you’re close enough to walk to the main attractions but far enough to escape when the cruise ships dump thousands of people into the Old Town around 10 AM.

The practical stuff is sorted too, which matters more than people think. There’s actually parking available – not guaranteed everywhere in this city, trust me – and the check-in was straightforward, none of that “meet me at a random café three blocks away” nonsense. The location puts you about a 15-minute walk from Lapad Beach, which is this lovely pebble beach that’s way more relaxed than the touristy spots. You’re also close to some solid restaurants that locals actually go to, not just the overpriced places near the city walls. I found myself grabbing morning coffee at this little place around the corner that probably doesn’t even have a name but makes better cappuccinos than most hotel restaurants. The 9.7 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works exactly as it should, and sometimes that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world.
