You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Anita? The fact that it’s tucked away on this quiet little street – Svetog Križa – that most tourists never stumble across, but it’s literally a five-minute walk from all the Old Town chaos. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the faint echo of those Game of Thrones tour groups during the day, but once you step inside, it’s this surprisingly peaceful bubble.
The apartment itself has that lived-in Croatian charm that you can’t fake – thick stone walls that actually keep the place cool (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July), and Anita clearly knows what travelers actually need. There’s proper blackout curtains, which is clutch when those morning church bells start up around 7 AM, and the kitchen setup is way more functional than most places I’ve stayed. She’s got this habit of leaving little handwritten notes about the best bakery nearby (it’s the one down toward Pile Gate, not the touristy spot everyone finds first) and honestly, those local tips are worth their weight in gold. The 9.1 rating isn’t just because the place is clean and comfortable – though it absolutely is – it’s because she actually cares about whether you have a good time in Dubrovnik.
What really sold me was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re positioned perfectly to duck into the Old Town for dinner or drinks, but you can actually escape back to somewhere quiet when the cruise ship crowds get overwhelming. The street itself is residential enough that you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, kids playing in the afternoon – it feels authentic in a way that a lot of Dubrovnik accommodations just don’t. Parking can be tricky (like everywhere in this city), but Anita will sort you out with specifics about where to leave your car without getting a ticket. Sure, it’s a 3-star spot, not some fancy hotel, but honestly? After walking around those steep cobblestones all day, you just want a comfortable bed, good WiFi, and maybe a glass of wine on a balcony that doesn’t cost 20 euros. Apartment Anita delivers on all of that without any pretense.

Amazing stay. The property is a perfect budget stay for your trip in dubrovnik with easy commute access to nearby buses although the bus system in the city is a little bit complicated, Ms. Anita made it easier for us amd explained everything we needed to ease our trip.

What could be improved: Bath room was a bit small.
Great stay Apartment was clean and furnished with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Anita was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome and at ease. Apartment is also very close to the Port and the bus station which made getting transport to and from very easy.
What could be improved: Apartment was a little bit further away from old town but the walk is lovely as you get to see the scenery but there are also bus lines that run directly to old town so not too bad (Anita let us know which lines to catch as well.)
Vote Anita for President Our Host Anita is a delightful lady and was very happy to try to do everything she could to help improve our stay. The apartment itself is much bigger than it looks from photos and is well equipped with everything you would expect.
Highly recommend the nearby Dubrovnik Brewery for great craft beers!
What could be improved: On the day of our arrival we needed to phone through to the third party booking agent and get a message transferred that we were at the door of the apartment, but this was no big deal, Anita very quickly appeared to help us.
The Apartment is perfectly situated for access to the port for onward travel by ferry. It is however a good 30 to 45 minutes by foot to the old town (but there is also a bus service)
On the run up to our stay I was hounded by about eight of the same email (one every 24 hours or so) from the third party booking agent, This was annoying and weird and is probably my only complaint about our experience, (and is not our lovely host's fault at all)
Superb Convenient access from Gruz port. Anita was a lovely host, she met us at the property and made sure we had everything we needed.

What could be improved: The frontage is mirrored so people can see in, however at night if you don't close curtains you are in full view. Bathroom is quite small.

Great location, comfortable apartment and wonderful host. Great location, close to the old town with free parking included in front of the apartment rooms. Anita and her family were great hosts and gave us very useful information to enjoy our stay. The house was fully equipped, including everything from laundry detergent to coffee.
Exceptional Good location close to marina, bus station. Close to the bus stop ( easy to get to the old town).
