You know what hit me first about Apartment Banje Beach 2? The moment I stepped onto that little balcony and saw the Adriatic stretching out beyond the old town walls – I mean, honestly, photos don’t do it justice. This place sits right on Buića ulica in Ploče, which is basically the sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the morning fishermen down at the harbor but far enough from Stradun’s tourist chaos to actually get some sleep.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Croatian aunt decided to rent out her place – and I mean that in the best way possible. Everything’s been thoughtfully updated without losing that Mediterranean charm. The kitchen actually works (you’d be surprised how rare that is in vacation rentals), and there’s this gorgeous stone detail on one wall that just screams old Dubrovnik. What really sold me though was the shower pressure – after a day of climbing those city walls in July heat, you’ll understand why this matters. The whole setup feels spacious too, which is refreshing since so many places in the old town are basically glorified closets with a view.
But here’s the thing that makes this spot special – you’re literally a three-minute walk to Banje Beach. Not the touristy “oh it’s nearby” kind of close, but actually close enough that you can pop back to grab sunscreen or escape the midday sun without it being a whole production. The beach gets packed by 11 AM during summer, but if you’re an early riser like me, you can have your coffee and watch the sunrise paint those medieval walls while the beach is still quiet. Plus, being in Ploče means you’re on the right side of town for those Instagram-worthy shots of the old city – the light hits just right in the evening from this angle. The walk into the old town takes maybe ten minutes through some winding streets that honestly feel like you’re discovering secret passages. Just a heads up though – there’s a bit of a hill situation going on, so pack comfortable shoes and maybe embrace the fact that you’ll get your cardio in just getting around. The 9-star rating makes total sense once you’ve spent a few days here; it’s one of those places that just gets the details right.

Great short stay in dubrovnik Clean spacious. Good bathroom. Nice view feom balcony. Enough towels. Kitchen well equiped.
What could be improved: Would suggest to put a nesprosso coffee machine
Very good The view from the balcony is stunning, it has two really good sized bedrooms, a really good apartment to feel home away from home. Suited a family of four really well.
What could be improved: There is nothing not to like about this apartment. Only thing to be aware of if you have very small children is that it is on a hill and it takes a good 15 minute walk from Dubrovnik city centre to walk with small children.
