You know what surprised me about Apartment Hedera A10? It’s tucked away on Don Iva Bjelokosicća street, and honestly, I walked past it twice before realizing this unassuming building housed one of the better places I’ve stayed in Dubrovnik. The location is actually perfect – you’re about a 10-minute walk from Pile Gate (the main entrance to Old Town), but far enough away that you won’t hear the cruise ship crowds stumbling back at midnight. The neighborhood feels properly Croatian, not like those touristy areas where every other storefront is selling “I Heart Dubrovnik” t-shirts.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel – I mean that in the best way possible. It’s got that clean, modern vibe without being sterile, and the owner clearly thought about what travelers actually need. The kitchen has real cooking equipment (not just a sad hot plate), the WiFi actually works throughout the space, and there’s decent storage so you’re not living out of your suitcase. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that makes you want to stay in longer than you should. What really got me was the attention to details – proper blackout curtains (crucial if you’re jet-lagged), good water pressure, and outlets where you actually need them. The air conditioning works quietly too, which matters more than you’d think during those sticky Adriatic summer nights.

Here’s the thing about staying here though – you’ll need to be okay with a bit of a hill walk. Dubrovnik isn’t flat anywhere, but this street has some incline to it. Not terrible, but after a long day exploring the city walls, you’ll definitely feel it in your legs. The flip side is that you’re positioned perfectly to explore beyond just the Old Town. There’s a decent grocery store about 5 minutes away (Konzum, if you’re keeping track), and you’re actually closer to some of the local restaurants where Dubrovnik residents eat, not just tourists. The whole area gets this lovely evening breeze from the sea, and it’s genuinely peaceful – you can hear church bells in the distance rather than street noise. Parking can be tricky in this part of town, but the owner provided clear instructions, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car anyway. That 9.3 rating makes total sense when you stay here – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just really, really good at being exactly what you need in Dubrovnik.

  Very nice and comfy apartment with a great location literally few steps from the Old Town. Everything you need (Beach, supermarket, Restaurants, Bars and Clubs) is in walking distance from the apartment. Well equipped – washing machine, iron with board, basic cooking stuff, extra towels are available. Great advantage is a beautiful Garden with Sofa and chairs. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Ievgeniia and Alyana from the Reception. Thank you. Fully recommended!

  Vi anlände sent och fick mycket tydliga vägbeskrivningar och instruktioner. Allt gick smidigt.
  
  What could be improved: Bäddsoffan hade kunnat vara skönare men den var ok. Vi sov två personer i den.

  Nous avons été bien accueilli à l endroit de la remise des clés et emmenés ensuite en voiture privée à l appartement qui n est pas loin. Idealement situé, derrière l hotel Hilton.
  A deux pas de l entrée des remparts de la ville. Sur le chemin il y a deux superettes pour acheter de l alimentaire.
  La terrasse et le calme de cet appartement sont un réel avantage.
  Une très bonne communication avec la concergerie, très réactif aux mails envoyés.

  logement spacieux et confortable mais odeur d'humidité assez gênante, il faut mettre la climatisation en permanence et ouvrir les fenêtres pour qua ça soit un peu mieux.
  terrasse sympa mais peu d'ombre, il y fait vitre très chaud et on ne peut pas y rester longtemps, pas de table extérieure pour le petit déjeuner
  tres bien placé pour arriver et pour visiter la ville facilement, à 1à min de tous les restaurants et visites de la ville fortifiée.

  cher, mais je suppose que les prix sont élevés a Dubrovnik
  pas de possibilité de laisser les bagages avant de prendre le vol retour (possible à l'agence mais c'est à 20min a pieds, pas très pratique)
