Apartment Lana – Two Bedroom Apartment with Terrace and Sea View

You know what really struck me about Apartment Lana? It’s one of those places where you walk onto the terrace and actually gasp – and I mean that literally, not in some cheesy brochure way. The sea view hits you right in the chest, especially in the morning when the light catches the water and you can see the old city walls stretching out below. I’ve stayed in plenty of places claiming “sea views” that turned out to be glimpses of blue between buildings, but this is the real deal.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental unit. The two bedrooms are generous – honestly bigger than I expected for Dubrovnik, where space comes at a premium. There’s this lived-in comfort to the place, with good lighting (you’d be surprised how many apartments get this wrong) and a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking, not just reheating tourist meals. The owners clearly get what travelers need because there are all these thoughtful touches, like proper hangers in the closets and decent water pressure in the shower. I mean, the little things matter when you’re trying to clean up after a day of climbing those ancient stone steps.

What really sets this place apart, though, is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re close enough to walk to the old town – maybe fifteen minutes at a leisurely pace – but far enough out that you escape the cruise ship crowds and street performers. The area gets this lovely quiet in the evenings, where you can sit on that terrace with a glass of wine and hear the waves instead of restaurant noise. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Dubrovnik), but the hosts gave solid directions and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anyway. The local bus connections are decent, and there’s a small market nearby for essentials – nothing fancy, but it’ll do for breakfast supplies and sunscreen. During peak season the place books up fast, which makes sense given that 9-rating, but if you can snag it during shoulder season, you’ll have one of the better bases for exploring the coast I’ve come across.
