The address sounds almost too simple – just “7 Ulica od Batale” – but once you’re walking down that quiet street in Lapad, it makes perfect sense. This isn’t one of those flashy hotel complexes trying to impress you with marble lobbies. Instead, it’s tucked into a residential neighborhood where you’ll actually hear Croatian conversations drifting from nearby balconies, not just tourist chatter.
The Lapad peninsula is honestly one of those spots that locals love but doesn’t get the same attention as Old Town (which, let’s be real, can feel like a theme park in summer). From Pajolo, you’re maybe a 15-minute bus ride to the city walls, but here’s the thing – you’ll want to explore this area too. There’s this lovely tree-lined promenade that curves along the water, and I found myself walking it every morning with my coffee. The accommodation itself feels more like staying in someone’s well-appointed home than a hotel room. The attention to detail is what gets you – proper hangers in the closets, decent water pressure, windows that actually open wide enough to let in that Mediterranean breeze. I mean, these sound like small things until you’ve stayed in places that don’t get them right.
What really sold me on this place was how the hosts seemed to understand what travelers actually need. There’s parking available, which anyone who’s driven in Dubrovnik will tell you is basically gold. The whole setup feels authentic – you’re not insulated from Croatian life, but you’re comfortable enough that you’ll sleep well after those long days of exploring. The 9.5 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails all the fundamentals while giving you that sense of place that chain hotels just can’t match. Plus, staying in Lapad means you can grab groceries at the local market, sit in actual neighborhood cafés, and get a feel for how people live here – not just where they take photos.

Excellent location if you want to be outside the mainstream touristic areas. Calm and close to many beaches. The room itself was clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: Overall it was a pleasant stay, not much to dislike. Depends on your expectations level rather than anything else. Only thing is that it was perhaps slightly difficult to locate initially.
Very thoughtfull and friendly host, flat is well equipped, you get everything you need. 30 min picturesque walk to the old town but if you don't feel like walking uber and buses are easily accessible. And all the cats around - it just can't get any better!
What could be improved: I would love to have a double duvet (I would have asked for that if I was staying for longer than 3 nighrs ).
The host was amazing.
The property was very clean and had an amazingly equipped bathroom with so many different shampoos, stuff for men and women. Q tips, coffee and tea, beautiful outdoors hangout spot in a relaxing atmosphere. Also towels for the beach and yoga pads for the sand!
The bed was very comfortable and the smart TV swivels so it's easy to watch from anywhere in room.
The location works great and central. Its right by bus 6/9 stop that goes to old town and the prices at the marts, restaurants, bakeries and at least 50% cheaper if not more than old town.
It's walking distance to Sunset Beach and the other beach a 10min bus ride away from old Town the bus runs every 5-10min.
What could be improved: Nothing, it's a great value and worth the stay.
Nicely located, clean and nice host. Easy to catch a bus (nr 6) to the old town. They gave us nice tips for the journey!

Great place with a warm and welcoming family! Though we arrived early, they kindly let us store our bags and refresh ourselves with cold juice and ice cream. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The location is perfect—just 6-7 minutes by bus to Dubrovnik Old Town, with a bus stop a minute away. They also arranged a 7am airport transfer for us, making our trip stress-free. Highly recommend this accommodation! Thank you for making our stay so special.
What could be improved: Nothing
It was nice to have a quiet and comfortable apartment to come back to and sleep in after walking around a hectic old town. It is approximately 5 minute walking distance to the bus stop and the bus arrives about every 10 minutes, then a ~7-10 minute bus ride to old town. There is also AC which was a an added bonus. Our host was lovely, provided fresh linens and was attentive, and met us during check in to orient us. It is also very close to the boat ports in Lapad with plenty of restaurants along the water or in the Lapad neighborhood that are walking distance.
What could be improved: The only thing we noticed is the shower drain took a long time to drain, which was a very minor issue overall. We really enjoyed our stay.
The room is very well kept and equipped with all the essentials (no kitchen). The host Snjezana was super helpful and available. The location is also good, residential area with parking, supermarkets and bus stop close by to go to the old town.
What could be improved: Room is a bit small but more than enough for two people

Very clean and comfortable and the hosts were so friendly and easy to contact. It was in a really good location next to the harbour and a short taxi ride or bus ride away from the old town.
