Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Apartments Pavle? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Lapad – Iva Vojnovića 17, if you’re looking – and honestly, that’s exactly what you want after battling the crowds in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. The building itself is pretty unassuming, which I actually loved. No fancy hotel lobby drama, just a solid apartment setup that feels like you’re staying in someone’s well-kept home rather than some touristy complex.
The location is honestly brilliant, even if it doesn’t scream “I’m on vacation!” at first glance. Lapad is where actual locals hang out, and you’re maybe a 15-minute walk to Lapad Beach – not the most famous beach in Dubrovnik, but way less chaotic than Banje Beach near the Old Town. There’s this great little bakery just around the corner (I mean, there always is in Croatia, right?), and you can actually find parking in this neighborhood, which… well, if you’ve driven in Dubrovnik, you know that’s basically a miracle. The apartments themselves are clean and functional – I’m talking proper kitchen setup, decent Wi-Fi, and windows that actually open to let in that Mediterranean breeze. Nothing fancy, but everything works, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed.
What really got me was how the 9.3 rating actually makes sense when you stay there. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – just solid, reliable accommodation run by people who clearly give a damn. The check-in was smooth (they actually answered their phone, imagine that), and when I had a question about the best bus route to the Old Town, they didn’t just point me toward the tourist info – they told me exactly which stop to get off at and mentioned that the buses get packed around 10 AM when the cruise ships arrive. That’s the kind of local insight you can’t Google. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or a rooftop pool, but after a long day exploring Dubrovnik’s walls or day-tripping to Lokrum Island, you’ll appreciate having a quiet space to decompress. The neighborhood gets properly quiet after sunset, which is perfect if you’re someone who actually wants to sleep rather than party. And honestly? For the price point and that rating, you’re getting way more value than you would closer to the Old Town, where you’d pay double for half the space and deal with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM.

The location of the property is brilliant! We were able to move around easily and check out different parts of Dubrovnik, whether it was by walking or taking the bus (there’s a bus stop right outside the property). There was also a small supermarket, a few restaurants, and a beach all really close to the apartment! Bosko was very kind and available for any information we might need. We traveled with our two children (4 years old and 5 months old) and the apartment was comfortable enough for all of us.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious space.
I got a welcoming drink and the place was nice.
What could be improved: Nothing big but maybe an improved for the host.
The host was not proactive for letting me know how the check in will be done. After I messaged twice, they told me that someone will be there to open for me (their reception is in the house).
The bathroom smells.Victoria from United States – 15 October 2024 (10/10)
Bosko was most congenial and pleasant and an outstanding host, greeting us at the apartment. Th towels were fluffy, the bed comfortable, two a/c’s, nice window shutters, nice furniture with very good kitchen appliances. The terrace was locker, and we ate outside once. The apartment is very modern. We enjoyed it

Easy to acces , bus acces from outside, very clean and everything you need really. Essential things were there like oil and vinegar, sugar and salt, detergent for clothes and shower gel, and really, I couldn't fault it. There is so much someone can offer, and I think he does go the extra mile in terms of cleaning, location, and all other bits that can make a difference. Complimentary drink was there and that was really nice is a shame we don't drink but otherwise I would come back to stay there. The view in the back is superb. The whole town is a beauty itself, and everyone who cames the first time comes second when you find dedicated people who know what they are doing, and I think Pavle does. There is Internet as well and playing cards and lots of books to learn about town. You won't regret staying there. Nice and modern and well equipped for people who want to cook.
What could be improved: A frying pan lid would be useful, and a vegetable peeler. Otherwise, I can not fault the place.Mara from Netherlands – 30 September 2024 (8/10)
The location was great with a bus stop right at front. We loved the balcony and being able to sit outside a lot. We also got a lovely introduction to the apartment when we arrived, with some great tips on what to visit in Dubrovnik!
