This four-star property sits quietly on Josipa Berse street, and while it might not have the flashy lobby of those big chain hotels, there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup. The fact that they offer parking right on-site immediately caught my attention — trust me, finding a place to leave your car in Dubrovnik can be a real headache.
Here’s what I love about staying in Lapad — you’re close enough to Old Town (about a 15-minute bus ride) but far enough away to actually breathe and relax. The neighborhood has this residential feel that most tourists never experience, with local cafés and small markets scattered around. I mean, you can walk to Lapad Bay beach in just a few minutes, which is perfect for those early morning swims before the crowds arrive. The peninsula also has some great walking paths along the coast, and honestly, watching the sunset from here beats fighting for space on the city walls any day.
The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious — definitely more than what you’d get in the cramped Old Town hotels for the same price. Everything felt clean and well-maintained, though the décor is more functional than fancy (which I actually prefer). What really impressed me was the attention to practical details — good WiFi, proper air conditioning that actually works, and blackout curtains that let you sleep in. From the friendly welcome when the 6 of us arrived (near midnight due to a delayed flight) to looking after our luggage after we checked out + providing a lovely outdoor area to eat lunch when we collected our luggage our hosts provided a wonderful service. Quiet, comfortable beds and good overall facilities were features in each of the apartments we occupied.
This was a perfect place to stay in Dubrovnik. The host was super nice on our arrival. He gave us advice, directions and told us the easiest way to take the bus to the Old Town. The bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the apartment with restaurants just 5 minutes away and a nice beach 10 minutes away. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable.

The apartment was modern and well equipped with everything one needs. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom very clean. I would definitely stay here again. The cats in the beautiful garden were adorable. The location was perfect. Close to the sea and shops, and an easy bus ride to old Dubrovnik. The host Stijepo was the most helpful person we have met and the customer service was excellent. He really went out of his way to help us in all situations. He could tell us about local restaurants and places to visit such as Ston. Best host ever!
What could be improved: Nothing to complain about.
Mirko was an amazing host. Extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell he takes pride and enjoyment in hosting. Gave us tips to get around the city. Showed us his beautiful microfarm. Our last morning, he offered us some coffee, fresh orange juice, pastries, and fruit from his garden. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
What could be improved: Can't see anything wrong with this place
Very easy to access, and great location. Beach is a very short walk ~5 minutes (be prepared to walk back uphill). There is a grocery store around the corner, and located right beside a bus stop that goes to old town. Clean room, and fully stocked kitchen. Extremely friendly and accommodating hosts!
What could be improved: If you drive there is minimal street parking (no fault of the hosts). They were kind enough to open the gate and let us park on the property.

Extremely welcoming host, very respectable, kind and generous. Location was perfect, short distance from a bus stop and the beach. Easy to find a parking spot. Nice outdoor kitchen with all equipment you may need. Bigger supermarket nearby as well. Great restaurant recommendations from the host. Overall we absolutely loved our stay here, we’ll return again :)!
