What really caught my attention right away was the private parking — I mean, finding a spot in Dubrovnik can be a nightmare, so having your own designated space is actually a huge relief.
Lapad is where locals would choose to stay if they were visiting their own city, you know what I mean? It’s about a 15-minute bus ride from the Old Town, but that distance is actually perfect — close enough to easily explore the historic center, far enough to escape the cruise ship crowds. The peninsula has this relaxed residential vibe with tree-lined streets and small cafes where you’ll hear more Croatian than English. There’s a lovely pebble beach just a short walk away, and the evening strolls along the waterfront promenade are something couples especially seem to love here.
This four-star property really nails the apartment-style accommodation. The space feels thoughtfully designed rather than just functional — you’ve got room to actually spread out and live a bit. The kitchen setup means you can grab fresh ingredients from the local market and cook dinner if you want, though honestly, with Dubrovnik’s restaurant scene, you might not use it much. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything stays, even with the windows open — the residential location really pays off when you’re trying to get a good night’s sleep.
The bus connections from this area are surprisingly efficient, and the routes to the Old Town run frequently throughout the day. But here’s something I discovered — walking to Gruž port takes about 20 minutes, which is perfect if you’re planning any island day trips. The neighborhood also has a couple of small grocery stores and a pharmacy within easy walking distance, plus there’s a decent restaurant scene developing along the main Lapad road. Having that private parking means you could easily rent a car and explore the Pelješac peninsula or drive up to Split without the usual Dubrovnik parking headaches.
The 9.1 rating really makes sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s that combination of being in a top-rated area without paying Old Town prices, plus having the space and amenities that make a longer stay comfortable. What could be improved: We were robbed even though the property could be entered only by combination key and had an allarm. When we told the owner she treated us badly telling we were liars. They only touched the cash we brought so she should keep an eye on staff and watch her manners as we were the victims of a crime. SCAM

What could be improved: Nothing
it was clean, stylish, modern and comfortable. Srdjan, the manager, was helpful on the run up to our stay and was happy to answer any questions we had. He also kindly let us leave our bags there after checkout until we were ready to leave for the airport later in the afternoon.
What could be improved: it was further away from the old town than we were expecting and we did not get to meet our hosts.
Beautiful property finished inside to a very high standard. Easy to use washing machine and dryer. Excellent power showers. Really comfy beds. Luxurious apartment

The apartments are perfect! Very cosy and comfortable! Each room has air conditioning. Very comfortable beds, perfectly equipped kitchen and bathrooms. There is everything that you can need. Very quiet district of city. 3 minutes to the store. 10 minutes to the beach. 25 minutes of walking to the old city. Especially want to note the design. Very stylish and beautiful.
Very nicely decorated. The appartment had all the amenities necessary for a plaesarnt stay, modern appliances and very well equipped.Parking space was definitely a plus. Location was convenient 20-minute walk to old city. Great hosts and very very responsive to all .y questions. Definitely will return.

Really helpful host, with tips on where to eat out and the place laces to visit. Property just as pictured, which everything you could need, including fully equipped kitchen, to be able to cook meals in if needed! Great location, 20 minute walk to old town, 10 to closest beach! Host couldn’t have done more for us with being super helpful on check in and out times to fit around our flights times
