Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Dubrovnik over the years, and Cascade Luxury Apartments is honestly one of those finds that makes you want to keep it secret. It’s tucked away on Ulica Pera Bakića – which, if you know the city at all, puts you in this perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the cruise ship crowds that descend on Stradun every morning. The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on; you know how some places try too hard to look fancy? This isn’t that. It’s more like someone with really good taste decided to create the kind of place they’d actually want to stay.

The apartments themselves are spacious in a way that’s rare for Dubrovnik – I mean, we’re talking about a medieval city where most hotel rooms feel like elegant closets. Here you’ve got room to actually spread out, and the design strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the local architecture. The kitchens are properly equipped too, which matters if you’re planning to hit the morning markets near Gundulić Square (about a 10-minute walk) and actually cook some of that incredible local produce. What really got me though was the attention to details you don’t expect – like how the bathroom lighting actually works for getting ready, or how the beds are positioned so you’re not getting street noise from the early morning deliveries that happen everywhere in the old town.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Dubrovnik like someone who lives there rather than just checking off tourist boxes. You’re close enough to walk to the city walls without breaking a sweat, but you’re also in a neighborhood where you’ll see locals going about their daily routines. There’s this little café around the corner that most visitors never find, and the walk to Banje Beach takes maybe 15 minutes if you don’t mind a bit of a hill. Parking can be tricky in this part of town – actually, parking is tricky everywhere in Dubrovnik – but they’ve sorted that out for guests, which is worth mentioning because finding a spot during peak season is basically impossible otherwise. The 9.6 rating makes sense when you stay here; it’s not just about luxury for the sake of it, but about creating an experience that feels authentic to the place while still giving you all the comfort you want after a day of exploring those ancient streets.

  Stunning new apartments with everything you could want for a very comfortable stay. Staff very helpful and friendly and replied quickly to any requests.

  This apartment was incredible! It was so luxurious, massive, and SO clean. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms large, equipped with soap and bathrobes and slippers. There is also a beautiful outdoor space, a parking spot, and easy walking distance to restaurants and bakeries. If you are coming back from old town, take the #8 bus and it will let you off across the street from the apartment. Also a very easy to walk to old town. I would love to stay here again!

  A trip away for my 50th birthday- Everything was impeccable from start to finish! Private transfers arranged at an excellent price and took us door to door (literally inside the building to our door!) the place is just beautiful, no expense spared with fixtures and fittings with a truly luxurious feel to the entire place, Rituals luxury brand toiletries and room fragrance provided for your use and a paid mini bar is a lovely touch with good quality wine and champagne, as is the complimentary good quality coffee, Nikolina was on hand to immediately answer any questions and provide any advice, I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and we will most definitely be back!
