It sits on Hrvatskog Crvenog Kriza street, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is – locals just call it the Red Cross street, and it’s actually this quiet residential area that’s maybe a 10-minute walk from all the Old Town madness.
The thing that struck me first was how… normal it feels, in the best way possible. I mean, you’re not getting marble lobbies or doormen in white gloves, but you’re also not dealing with that sterile chain hotel vibe either. The staff actually seem to know Dubrovnik beyond just the tourist spots – when I asked about where to grab coffee in the morning, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward the hotel restaurant but mentioned this little place around the corner where construction workers stop before their shifts. That kind of local insight is gold, honestly. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star – clean, well-maintained, with air conditioning that actually works (crucial during those sweltering July afternoons when the city walls feel like they’re radiating heat). I stayed on the third floor and could hear the occasional car, but nothing that kept me awake. The shower pressure was decent, which I know sounds mundane but after a day of climbing those stone steps in the Old Town, trust me, you’ll appreciate it.
What really won me over was the location itself – you’re close enough to walk everywhere but far enough from Stradun that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight. The 8.9 rating makes sense because it’s not flashy, it’s just… reliable. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi worked in every corner I tried, and when I needed to store my luggage after checkout, they handled it without any drama. There’s something to be said for a place that doesn’t promise you the moon but delivers exactly what you need. If you’re the type who wants to experience Dubrovnik without feeling like you’re staying in a tourist bubble, this works really well. It’s not going to be the highlight of your trip, but it won’t be a headache either – and honestly, in a destination like this, that’s exactly what you want from your hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Smart layout.
What could be improved: The cutlery in the room. The teaspoons were unclean. These were quickly replaced when pointed out.
The location was v good and easy to access for the airport. The room was comfortable and well climate controlled. The whole area was really quiet and easy to get a bus into the old town (same stop just outside the hotel is a place where you can pick up the Platanus bus to the airport). The rooms were clean and made up every day. Multiple supermarkets are close by to stock up on provisions within 5mins walk.
What could be improved: There weren’t as many facilities as could have been (eg a small fitness centre might have been nice), and the pillows weren’t as plush so the sleep was a little less comfortable. There was a broken vanity mirror in the suite which albeit I didn’t use, but created an impression of less maintenance.

Lovely big room, very comfortable bed with a lovely bathroom that had under-floor heating !
Very easy to catch a bus to the Old City both to/from just outside the Hotel. Nice short walk down to the Docks with plenty to see.
The Reception staff were very helpful, and so friendly ~ great hotel.

Excellent choice for those who seek a quite but lively neighborhood a few minutes away (by bus) from the Old City. There's a bus stop in front of the Hotel. The marina in 5 minutes walk. The rooms are spacious, clean, with excellent shower and (at least ours) had a big balcony.
The hotel was in a good location, not very near old town ( about 20 min walk) but still the area was quiet and safe. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious.
