You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Dubrovnik over the years, and this little apartment on Iva Vojnovića street genuinely surprised me. The name’s a bit of a mouthful – Cruise Ship Bridge View Apartment Luka – but honestly, it tells you everything you need to know. From the moment I stepped onto that balcony, I understood why this place has such crazy good ratings.
The location is actually perfect if you want to be in Lapad but still feel connected to the action. I mean, you’re literally watching the cruise ships glide into Gruž harbor from your morning coffee spot, which sounds touristy but is oddly mesmerizing. The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish relative decorated it – not that sterile hotel vibe, but genuinely comfortable. The bed was one of those situations where I kept hitting snooze because I didn’t want to leave it, and the kitchen had everything I needed for those lazy mornings when you can’t face another restaurant breakfast. What really got me was the attention to detail – proper blackout curtains (thank god), really good water pressure in the shower, and they’d actually stocked the place with decent coffee, not that instant stuff you usually find.
Here’s the thing about this area that most people don’t realize – you’re a quick walk to some of the best local spots that tourists never find. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM, and the owner always has the best burek ready by 7. Plus, you’re close enough to the Old Town that you can walk there in about 20 minutes along the coast (gorgeous walk, by the way), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds every time you step outside. The apartment building itself is quiet – I stayed during peak season in July and barely heard the neighbors. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which if you’ve ever driven in Dubrovnik, you know that’s kind of a miracle. The whole check-in process was smooth, and Luka (I’m assuming that’s the owner’s name) had left really thoughtful notes about local spots and even restaurant recommendations that were actually good, not just the usual tourist traps. I’ll be honest, the only minor thing was that the WiFi got a bit spotty during evening hours when everyone was probably streaming, but that’s pretty standard for this part of town and hardly a dealbreaker.

Exceptional Spacious apartment near Lapad promenade and beach. Fully equipped with excellent air conditioning. Close to the old town (about 30 minutes walk), bus stops in front of the apartment entrance (app.50 m). Friendly and helpful owner.

Sehr schön, wenn wir wiederkommen dann wieder in dieses Apartment. Tolles Apartment. Die Lage perfekt um mit dem Bus in die Oldtown zu kommen. Haltestelle direkt gegenüber des Apartment, Linie 4. Auto stehen lassen und mit dem Bus in die Innenstadt. Parkplätze kosten dort nur 10 € (die Stunde 😳). Luka ist total herzlich und hilfsbereit. Herzlichen Dank Luka, war sehr schön bei dir.
What could be improved: Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus ist möglich, kann aber schon mal etwas schwierig sein einen Platz zu bekommen. Deshalb, wenn man einen Platz hat, Auto stehen lassen.

Exceptional Apartment is really comfortable, spacious and it is equipped with modern furniture and new kitchen and bathroom utensils, machines. Bus connection is perfect, bus stop can be found in front of the apartment. Luka is kind and helpful and did everything that we enjoy our stay in Dubrovnik.
What could be improved: It is not easy to find a parking place near the apartment. But it is not the apartment's fault.

Great accommodation. They were waiting for us on the spot. They received me very kindly.
Parking can be difficult because there is no free parking. You also have to pay on the street. We were lucky because we found a place in the parking lot next to the house when we arrived. But they would have helped us find a place until we found one.
We bought a Dubrovnik Pass, which allows you to travel for free on public transport. You can buy it online, but the ticket must be redeemed, e.g. at the old town.
The Pass gives a discount to several places.
The apartment is nicely renovated, quiet, clean and well equipped. Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer.
The 3 air conditioners work great.
The terrace is useful and you can see the new bridge.
The apartment is in a very good location, everything is quickly and easily accessible by public transport. This way you don't have to pay for parking, which is expensive and there are very few spaces, especially in the old town.
What could be improved: Everything was great. The facilities and equipment are great.
Exceptional Fantastic Appartment close to the beach and many restaurants. There is a bus stop across the road that brings you to Old Town.The host Luka is really friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Epic local vibes, wonderful host, great spot! Host is responsive and wonderful. Apartment is very nice. We liked the location, local vibes. The beds are comfortable, and shower is awesome. There is a full-size Miele washer and dryer in the bathroom, need I say more?!? Luka is a fantastic host. Book it!
