I mean, you’re literally steps from the main drag but tucked away enough that you won’t have cruise ship crowds trampling past your window at 7 AM.
The thing about this place is that it gets the details right in ways that make you think the owner actually lives in Dubrovnik (spoiler: they do). The apartment feels like someone’s actual home that they’ve thoughtfully prepared for guests – not that sterile hotel vibe where everything’s bolted down and wrapped in plastic. You’ll find local wine in the fridge, proper coffee (not those terrible instant packets), and they’ve got these incredibly comfortable beds with actual good linens. The bathroom’s modern without being flashy, and there’s this little balcony where you can sit with morning coffee and watch the city wake up below. What really sold me, though, was how quiet it gets at night – even in summer when the Old Town is absolutely buzzing with people, this square settles down beautifully.
Here’s what nobody tells you about staying in the Old Town: location isn’t just about being “central” – it’s about being on the right stone streets that don’t echo with rolling suitcases all night, and being close to the places locals actually go. From Dubravka, you can walk to Gradska Kavana for proper coffee in two minutes, hit the morning market at Gundulićeva (yes, same name as the street – it’s right there) for fresh figs and cheese, and you’re still only a five-minute stroll from the Stradun when you want to do the touristy stuff. The owner, Marija, knows her stuff too – she’ll tell you which restaurants to skip (honestly, most of them) and which konoba hidden down some random alley serves the best black risotto in the city. One tiny thing: the stairs are stone and a bit narrow, so if you’re hauling massive suitcases, just… don’t. Pack light or use their luggage service. Trust me on this one. But really, with a 9.6 rating, this place has figured out how to make visitors feel like they’re experiencing Dubrovnik the way it should be experienced – not from some generic hotel room, but from a beautiful space that’s actually part of the city’s rhythm.

The place to stay in old town Dubrovnick This was a great stay for the second time. It is a beautiful apartment in the centre of the walled city.There are a lot of stairs but it is worth the climb. Outside the door is a market ,grocery store and bakery.
It is very clean and beautifully decorated.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of the old town A wonderful apartment in the heart of Dubrovnik old town! Very comfortable, clean and so close to everything you need. The bathroom is amazing!! Ivana is an excellent host who responded quickly to our questions. Could not fault it at all. Would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Excellent service and such a lovely little apartment! We loved it! Excellent location. Cute and clean apartment with everything you need! The hosts are SO helpful with the guy collecting us from the airport at 2am and walking us into the city so we don’t get lost then he picked us up for the return leg at 3.30am and did the same!! So helpful and genuinely lovely people. I’d definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful centrally located 2 bedroom apartment in the old town The apartment is beautiful, the interior fits well with the style of the old town. The bedroom up the floating staircase with views to the exposed beams and room below was wonderful. The bathroom is spacious and the kitchen fit our needs perfectly. We had no issues with the few flights of stairs up to the room. The staircase is very wide and better than many we saw in the old town.

Comfortable apartment close to all key sights Great location near the Market Square, close to all the key sights and eateries. The host is very helpful and we were able to have early check in & collection of keys is a breeze. Take note that the apartment is located at the top floor (3rd floor with no lift access) especially if you have large luggage.

What could be improved: Nothing really, the apartment itself was perfect for us. It was frustrating that someone kept turning off the stairwell lights and the switch at the top didn’t work, so heading down from the top floor was a bit treacherous without a torch. I used my phone, but it wasn’t really adequate.
