Very good Sehr schöne Geschichte die das Apartment erzählt. Mit viel Liebe zur Tradition eingerichtet. Ideale Lage, wenn man Dubrovnik am Abend ohne Massentourismus erreichen möchte.

Dubrovnik Cozy Studio with the Old Town charm
Look, I'll be honest – when I first saw "Dubrovnik Cozy Studio" I was expecting another cramped tourist trap.
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Dubrovnik Cozy Studio” I was expecting another cramped tourist trap. But this little place on Ulica od Kastela actually surprised me in the best way possible. You know how most Old Town accommodations either cost a fortune or feel like you’re sleeping in a medieval dungeon? Well, this spot somehow found that sweet middle ground.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Dubrovnik rather than just visiting it. You’re literally steps from Stradun (that’s the main marble street everyone walks down), but tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk cruise passengers stumbling around at 2 AM. I mean, you’ll still get the occasional late-night revelry – it’s the Old Town after all – but nothing like what you’d deal with right on the main drag. The morning ritual here is pretty magical though… you can actually hear the city waking up through those thick stone walls, and there’s something about the way the light filters through the narrow streets that makes even your morning coffee feel special.
What really won me over was how the place manages to blend that authentic Dubrovnik charm without making you feel like you’re camping. The stone walls aren’t just for show – they actually keep things cool during those brutal summer afternoons when the marble streets turn into solar panels. And honestly, the owners seem to get that travelers want character, not just Instagram-worthy shots. There are these little touches that show someone actually thought about what it’s like to stay here for more than one night – proper hooks for wet swimsuits (trust me, you’ll need them), a window that opens wide enough to actually get some air circulation, and thank god, decent water pressure in the shower.
The studio setup works surprisingly well, even if you’re not traveling solo. I watched a couple manage it just fine, though I’d say it’s really designed for people who plan to spend their days exploring rather than lounging around inside. Which makes sense – you’re in one of the most stunning cities in Europe, why would you want to stay indoors anyway? The walk to Banje Beach takes maybe eight minutes if you’re not stopping every few steps to take photos, and you’re close enough to the city walls that you can pop over for sunset without it being a whole production.
One thing to keep in mind – and this goes for anywhere in the Old Town – getting here with luggage can be a bit of an adventure. The streets weren’t exactly designed for rolling suitcases, and depending on which gate you enter through, you might find yourself playing a fun game of “dodge the tour groups” while hauling your stuff over uneven stones. But honestly? That’s part of the charm. You’re staying inside 700-year-old walls, a little inconvenience is expected. For the price point and the experience of actually living in the heart of this incredible city, it’s absolutely worth it. Just pack light and wear comfortable shoes.

What Our Guests Say
Enjoyable It had everything needed for a short comfortable stay in the old town
What could be improved: Its location up a number of steps would be difficult if you had a lot of luggage. Luckily I didn’t!
Nice little room Cosy small room in a really nice area. Had everything we needed and was clean.
What could be improved: Thin walls, so you can easily hear other guests.
sejour DBV gite bien équipé et très propre.
les services correspondent bien à la description.
What could be improved: rien en particulier .
peut-être des volets ou un store pour eviter la lumière de la rue pour la nuit .Nous l'avons signalé à Tina.
Superb The location was perfect, the room was quaint and clean which all the necessities one would need on a trip.
What could be improved: The noise level wasn’t terrible but there was more often than not a very strong smell of cigarettes coming from outside. Not sure how that can be resolved but something to be aware of if one is sensitive to smells.
Great little apartment, good location. Difficult to find, there is a tiny sign out the front of the apartment. Good location
What could be improved: It was extremely difficult to find and no one answered the phone when we called to ask for help with directions.
Ottimo Posizione perfetta, all’interno delle mura e a pochi passi da tutto, sebbene la via di giorni è molto trafficata, come tutte le vie della città vecchia,la sera è molto tranquilla
What could be improved: Riuscire a trovare l’appartamento è stata un impresa, segnalerei meglio il nome dell’appartamento
Very good The location within the old town was great … lots of stairs to access but worth it.
Served a need but wouldn’t return The property was located in old town Dubrovnik which is what we were seeking. Restaurants were a short walk down the steps.
What could be improved: Location was up near the wall which meant carrying cases up a lot of steps. It was difficult to find with no identifying number of name on the door and instructions were vague. The facilities were dated with many unusable items.
Price was quite high for standard of the studio Nice old building in the old town
What could be improved: Quite narrow studio - ground floor - windows directed towards busy street
