Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Dubrovnik Rooms 2? It’s tucked away on this quiet side street – Ulica Od Gaja – that honestly feels like a little secret once you find it. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from all the Old Town chaos, but when you step outside in the morning, it’s just… peaceful. The kind of peaceful where you can actually hear church bells instead of tour group megaphones, if that makes sense.
The place itself is exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star spot in Dubrovnik – clean, comfortable, no-nonsense kind of vibe. The rooms are simple but they’ve got everything you actually need, and honestly, after spending your days wandering those limestone streets (which, fair warning, will absolutely destroy your feet), you’ll appreciate having a quiet space to crash. What I really liked was how the staff actually seemed to know the area – like, they told me about this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM, perfect for grabbing pastries before the city wakes up. Those kinds of tips you just don’t get at the big chain places.
Location-wise, this is where it gets interesting. You’re close enough to walk to Pile Gate in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if you’re taking your time and stopping for photos. But here’s the thing – you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the worst of the cruise ship crowds that flood Stradun every morning around 9 AM. I’d actually walk the opposite direction first, up toward Gradska Kavana Zagreb for coffee, then loop back down through the side streets. The neighborhood has this authentic residential feel too, with locals hanging laundry and kids playing in the small squares – it’s not all just tourist apartments, which is honestly refreshing in Dubrovnik these days. Parking can be tricky (well, it’s tricky everywhere in Dubrovnik), but there are a few spots nearby and the staff had decent suggestions about where to leave the car if you’re driving. The building itself is one of those charming stone structures you see everywhere in the area, and while it’s not going to win any design awards, it fits right into the neighborhood fabric. I’d definitely stay here again – it’s that sweet spot of being affordable, well-located, and run by people who actually care about giving you a good experience rather than just processing tourists through the door.

Very nice view and atmosphere. Mr Miro is kind and nice. It is a little bit far from the airport. There is Uber service that we use to go places. I cannot do a lot of walking. You need to take the stairs to go to the bus stop. The only thing is the door. When you close the door, it is noisy.
