You know what struck me first about Festa Apartments & Rooms? The location is actually insane – I mean, you’re literally on Hliđina street in Old Town, which honestly feels like cheating because you’re inside those famous medieval walls but tucked away from the main tourist chaos. When I walked out the front door, I could hear the distant hum of crowds on Stradun (that’s the main drag everyone talks about), but our little street was surprisingly peaceful, especially in the evenings when the day-trippers head back to their cruise ships.
The whole setup is more intimate than your typical hotel – it’s got that family-run vibe where someone actually remembers your name at reception. I stayed in one of the apartments, and while it’s definitely a 3-star place (don’t expect marble everything), it’s clean and functional with this lovely old-world charm that fits perfectly with the surrounding stone buildings. The rooms have character, you know? Some quirky angles and original details that remind you you’re sleeping in a centuries-old city. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Old Town can be surprisingly noisy with all those stone surfaces echoing sound, but Hliđina is just removed enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open.
Here’s the thing that’ll save you money and stress: you’re a 2-minute walk from Rector’s Palace and maybe 3 minutes from the harbor, but you’re also close to this little bakery that opens early (locals line up there around 7 AM) and a small grocery store that’s not marked for tourists – prices are actually reasonable. The staff gave me directions to a parking spot outside Pile Gate that’s way cheaper than the official lots, which honestly saved me about 20 euros a day. During peak season (July-August), this area gets busy around 9 AM when the tour groups start moving, but if you’re an early riser or night owl, you’ll have those magical narrow streets almost to yourself. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you want to experience Old Town authentically rather than just passing through it.

Superb Very comfortable apartment in the middle of old Dubrovnik. Ismael was very courteous and helpful about restaurant recommendations and transportation to the airport. Very comfortable stay in such a beautiful city. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing hospitality - highly recommend! We had a fantastic stay at Festa Apartments & Rooms in Dubrovnik. Ismail went above and beyond to ensure he accommodated us and we had an enjoyable stay. Amazing customer service and made our stay very smooth and enjoyable. The apartment has everything you need, a comfortable bed and well located. Would highly recommend.

What could be improved: There was not much natural light. The window could open but it was at street level and during most daytime-dinner hours there were people walking by.
Great value for a lovely apartment in the centre of Dubrovnik Centrally located. Very reasonably priced. Spotlessly clean. Had everything you would need for a short stay. Host more than happy to arrange airport pick up and drop off and he also arranged a great trip to Bosnia for us. Cafe outside the front door is excellent for vegetarian food.

Banje beach is a ten minute walk so swimming was part of the daily ritual. A little difficult to find when you are not use to the city as taxis cannot drop you at the door. We had a great time in Dubrovnik with friends and recommend it. The host was very friendly , helpful and responsive.
What could be improved: No issues really but I think if we were cooking it would be difficult in terms of the size of the apartment but we were blessed by a fantastic restaurant just outside the apartment. Too many cruise ships sometimes makes Dubrovnik difficult to get round the small streets.
