Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Dubrovnik over the years, but this apartment on Grudska ulica honestly caught me off guard. I mean, you expect nice views in this city – it’s kind of the whole point – but stepping onto that balcony was one of those moments where you actually stop mid-conversation and just stare. The Old Town spreads out below you like some medieval movie set, and if you crane your neck just right, you catch glimpses of the Adriatic that’ll make you forget whatever you were stressed about back home.

The thing about Grudska ulica is it’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at 6 AM (trust me, that’s a thing on some streets), but you’re still close enough to slip down to Stradun for morning coffee in about three minutes. The apartment itself? Well, they weren’t kidding about the luxury part. The kitchen actually has decent counter space – revolutionary concept, I know – and the shower pressure is what you’d hope for after climbing those stone steps all day. I particularly loved how they managed to blend modern comfort with that old Dubrovnik stone aesthetic. The air conditioning works properly too, which you’ll appreciate come July when the city turns into a beautiful but sweltering furnace.

What really got me was the attention to detail. Fresh flowers when I arrived, local wine in the fridge, and the host left actual restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the touristy places everyone hits. They suggested this little konoba about ten minutes walk away where the locals go for dinner – turns out the owner’s family has been making the same fish stew recipe for generations. That’s the kind of insider knowledge that makes a trip memorable, you know? The Wi-Fi is solid if you need to work (guilty), parking arrangements were sorted without drama, and honestly, the whole check-in process felt more like visiting friends than dealing with hotel bureaucracy. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially during shoulder season when Dubrovnik shows its quieter, more authentic side and you can actually enjoy that stunning view without fighting crowds for the perfect photo.

  Everything about the apartment was fabulous! The location is amazing, the balcony and views were stunning, with the morning sun. Loved the hot tub, and being above the old town to enjoy the vista but only a short walk to the walls, shops and restaurants. The facilities and finish are top quality, the whole place is luxuriously appointed with everything you need for your stay including hair straighteners and hair dryer in all the rooms and lovely toiletries, a well stocked kitchen including drinks in the fridge. Washing machine and drier with powder provided was a great bonus. We had a fabulous meal at Taj Mahal, and up at the Panoramic restaurant at the top of the cable car to see the sunset, a wonderful day on Lokrum Island and lots of fun exploring the history of Dubrovnik old town. The maritime museum in particular has a great kids area. Daniela and Josip were very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for more!

  The view was amazing and having a jacuzzi was a plus even though it shut off at 10:30. The house was fully stocked with more than we would've expected … I.e. champagne, wine, coffee, cookies, even some games which came in handy due to severe thunderstorms and being stranded at the house. Josip was an awesome host and definitely earned his money carrying all our bags up those 90 steps. He was very responsive to any minor issues that we encountered. Bottom line I would highly recommend this property .. 1 for the location; 2 it definitely won't disappoint and 3 the proximity to all is well worth all the steps you will take on a daily basis

  Such a luxurious apartment. You can tell the hosts paid attention to every detail, from the makeup mirrors in every room to the ample lighting. The rooms look out onto a gorgeous panorama of old town. Josip was very kind and accommodating.

  The location was very convenient and provided exceptional views of the Old Town, Lokrum Island and the sea. The villa was very modern, well appointed and provided all the latest amenities. The private patio with hot tub and outdoor seating made for an even more enjoyable stay.

  Absolutely exceptional. Not only was the place brand new, clean and great location. It was packed with everything you could think of to make our stay super comfortable. Daniela and Josip went out of their way to help us too. Id say above and beyond. Many thanks to them. I would defo recommend this property.
  
  What could be improved: Could do with fans for each room just to keep the air moving with out having the Aircon on. But really they have provided everything else.

  Las vistas, el impecable Apartamento, muy amplio, de alta calidad. La distribución, la decoración y todas las comodidades. Las habitaciones maravillosas. Igual que los baños, la cocina y el salón. Es una monada de alojamiento, te sientes como en casa. Esta todo muy nuevo y con una decoración exquisita. Todo es de mucha calidad, todos los acabados y los detalles. La terraza con el jacuzzi es increíble. Muy muy recomendable. A destacar la impecable limpieza del apartamento y la súper amabilidad de la persona que nos recibió: Josip. Nos hizo tanto un check in-como check out IMPECABLE. Todo en general, Es un 10!
  
  What could be improved: Nos gustó todo! Hemos estado realmente bien. Si bien se han de subir unas escaleras para llegar hasta el apartamento, no son tantas y además vale la pena por la tranquilidad y las increíbles vistas.
