Great location. Good instructions for self check in. Had a ground floor room so really easy to access. Some kitchen facilities. Spacious.
What could be improved: Nothing really. But I’ll never forget the half hour coughing frenzy at 5am by some man positioned directly under my room. Second night was ok because I guess he must have expired.

You know what really got me about Rilati Old Town Palace 2?
You know what really got me about Rilati Old Town Palace 2? The name makes it sound way fancier than it actually is – and honestly, that’s kind of perfect for this place. It’s tucked away on Dinka Ranjine street, which is basically a narrow stone alley that most tourists walk right past on their way to the main drag. I mean, you’re literally steps from Stradun (that’s the main pedestrian street everyone talks about), but you feel like you’ve found this quiet little secret.
The building itself has that weathered Dubrovnik charm – thick stone walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal summer afternoons when the Old Town turns into an oven. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that overly formal hotel stuff, just friendly people who actually seemed to know the neighborhood. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star – clean, comfortable beds, decent bathroom, nothing fancy but everything works. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to hear the occasional late-night reveler echoing off the stone streets, but it’s not the constant party noise you get closer to the main squares.
Here’s the thing about staying right in the Old Town – and this location specifically – you’re going to pay tourist prices for everything, but you can actually walk to your room when your feet are killing you from all that marble street wandering. The morning light hitting those ancient walls right outside your window is pretty spectacular, especially if you’re up early enough to beat the cruise ship crowds. Parking is obviously a nightmare (welcome to Dubrovnik’s Old Town), but there’s a public garage about a 10-minute walk away if you’re driving. The staff pointed me toward this little bakery around the corner that opens at 7 AM – locals actually go there, which tells you something. Overall, it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, just does the basics really well in a location that’s hard to beat. For an 8.7 rating, that feels about right – solidly good without any major surprises, positive or negative.

What Our Guests Say
Lovely building in the old town, air conditioning was very appreciated!
It’s in the perfect place to explore the old town, and not too many stairs at all! A great amount of space and the bed is comfy enough.
What could be improved: Everything was great, but it would have been nice to have an iron and a toaster.
Location couldn’t be better. It was right in the heart of the old town. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable.
What could be improved: This isn’t a criticism but it was difficult to understand if you are able to get your luggage to the hotel. As it turned out we had suit cases with trolley wheels and it was very easy to get our luggage from outside the old town to the hotel. It was about a 300 metre walk with only a few stairs to negotiate.
Good location
What could be improved: Not much natural light in the room.
Fantastic location. Central in Old Town. But not noisy. Air conditioning was a god send.
What could be improved: Location. Quiet. Air con. Tea and Coffee facilities and other small kitchen facilities.
Central location. Very helpful staff.
Great location, quiet despite just off the main area
Very nice, clean, modern, comfortable room well-located in the old town. Great communication with staff. Easy check-in, easy check-out. You walk about a minute or two and you're right in the heart of it all.
Room more spacious than expected. Included a kitchenette. They allowed us an early checkin - before the advertised 2pm time.
What could be improved: Nothing.
